Wow! That is so cool! I couldn't see where you could have done better. Looks great! Bernie

Wow! Nice build. Nothing like an AWB on race day. I've always had a thing for this car. It just seems to say...Bring it on! Someday I will attempt to built one. Bernie

Wow, that's sweet! Can't wait to see it finished. Hmmm, That reminds me I have a shoe-box kicking around somewhere I did many years ago. Well, time to go digging again. Bernie

I built this way back when the reissue came out. About the only things I added were the exhaust tips and spinners to the wheels. I don't recall the color name but I want to say it was a Tamiya paint. I could be wrong. All I know is that it kinda lost it's shine over the past couple of years. So I used Future applied with a good brush and was very happy with the results. It's not a shinny as some of the cars I've seen here but I'm happy with the old school look. Hope you like it. Thanks for looking and I will see some of you at NNL East. Happy Modeling. Nnl East 2008 Roll Call
Starliner Kustoms replied to Gregg's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Cool idea Gregg. Thanks. I'll be there. I won't be at the hotel I'm driving in on Sat. Do I pick it up at the entry table? One week and counting. Bernie -
Last Of The Big Cats...
Starliner Kustoms replied to Starliner Kustoms's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I like your LTD. My Cougar looks a lot like that. I wish I had the time and money to do it over again. I did pick up a resin cast of a 76 T-Bird NASCAR body at NNL East a couple of years ago but it would take a lot of casting and scratch building to change to a 77 Cougar. Bernie -
Last Of The Big Cats...
Starliner Kustoms replied to Starliner Kustoms's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Thanks for the info guy's. About the closest I had came to this was a early T-Bird kit in about 1/20th scale. I don't recall who put it out though. Oh and by the way if anybody know of someone interested in a 77 XR-7 please let me know. I had restored it about 20 years ago and then about 6 years ago I had lost my storage so the car is outside and you know what happens to them then. Anyway, it would need a bit of TLC but when finished it could be a sharp cruiser again. Bernie -
Wow! Very cool. I can't wait to see it at NNL East. Good color choice. Bernie

Does anybody know if there were ever any 77-79 Mercury Cougar XR-7's ever made by a resin company? If So who and are the still available? I have a real one I would like to make a replica of. Bernie

"If it wasn't sitting on the hood of a car I'd swear it was real. Excellent job." Double ditto on that. Wow! Very Sharp. Bernie -
Wow! That looks great. I have always wanted to do something like this but could never find the time. Oh well.... Bernie

Happy Birthday Jairus. Bernie -
This started out as the AMT 57 Corvette Street Machine but I had wanted to do something different with it. So, after digging through part box after part box I had enough to go with. It's not super detailed or maybe not even finished in the eyes of some but I had a blast building it just the same. I added a single loop roll bar to protect the think box along with tires and wheels from AMT's 56 Ford up front with steelies bringing up the rear. I also added a Moon tank up front, lap belts, some tire residue on the rear quarters from doing massive burn outs and a little BMF to the cove molding's. And there you have it. A simple but fun build. Hope you like it. Thanks for looking and happy modeling. These are some pictures of the AMT 57 Chevy I built last year. I used just about everything from the kit with the exception of the lancer caps. When I first started it I was really gun-ho but that soon died down. I wasn't to please with the way it was coming out but, a good friend of mine twisted my arm to continue with the build. I must say, I happy he did. It's not the best thing I've built but it has a old look to it which I rather like. Anyway enough with the chat and on with the pictures. Thanks for looking and happy modeling. Hey everybody. Today I'm posting a few pictures of a 55 Chevy I had built awhile back. It's pretty much out of the box. I've only added the hanging license plate, air dam, moon tank, aluminum exhaust tips and a tonneau cover over the rear seating area. Thanks for looking and happy modeling Bernie http://images34.fotki.com/v1126/photos/1/1...IMG_3170-vi.jpg http://images36.fotki.com/v1134/photos/1/1...IMG_3148-vi.jpg http://images34.fotki.com/v1146/photos/1/1...IMG_3174-vi.jpg

More Pictures Of The Old School Fords...
Starliner Kustoms replied to Starliner Kustoms's topic in Model Cars
And this is the AMT 61 Ford Galaxy. This is also a reissue from not to long ago. This is pretty much out of the box with only minor changes. The wheels and tires are from a die cast kit (Don't recall which on though) and metal exhaust tips. Oh and I modified the taillight bezels using the custom ones from the kit but cutting away the stock bezels and gluing the custom ones in their place. And that's pretty much it. Once again thanks for looking. Bernie http://images32.fotki.com/v1089/photos/1/1...IMG_3166-vi.jpg http://images36.fotki.com/v1134/photos/1/1...IMG_3167-vi.jpg
