  1. Sweet! Maybe steelies out back with cheaters and Ansens / Fentons up front with whites...with Buick wheel backs.
  2. Wow! Very Sharp. Love the stance.
  3. This is a sweet looking car! Talk about period correct. Great job!
  4. Unfortunatly he hasn't had the car out in a few thousand years it seems. I'd like to buy it from him and enjoy it but he won't budge. Oh and maybe I will see you next week. I'm on call this week.
  5. Have this kit never built it. Hmmm Nice job.
  6. That is very sharp! I just started an old shoebox convert. but I have no idea which direction I want to go. I like this look though.
  7. Thanks everyone. I have to say for all the times I almost gave up I'm rather happy with the results. However, next time it will be resin body...
  8. This is the only picture I have of this car for the time being. My father has had this car for over 30 years. Unfortunatly it does not see the light of day often. Oh well. Anyway, here it is. This was taken by a very close friend that at the time I didn't know until years later at the CT dragway. http://images51.fotki.com/v1546/photos/7/1297677/8877582/FORD1-vi.jpg
  9. I built this car many years ago and finally dug it out. It is a replica of my fathers car which he still has to this day. Way before there was a resin cast of a 55 Ford my only option wast to convert a 56 Ford from AMT. I tried to capture as much detail as possible with the few supplies I had and knowledge to do such a project. I hope to take more photos of it once I fix my camera. I also plan on attempting this replica again but with better knowledge and a resin body. Anyway this is "Just A Dream" Hope you enjoy and happy modeling. http://images12.fotki.com/v237/photos/7/1297677/8877582/IMG_0470-vi.jpg http://images110.fotki.com/v572/photos/7/1297677/8877582/IMG_0471-vi.jpg http://images9.fotki.com/v1604/photos/7/1297677/8877582/IMG_0472-vi.jpg
  10. Wow! With the roof the way it is this would make a wild custom. Nice work. Bernie Gilbow
  11. Well in test fitting everything the chassis fit perfect even with out temp tacking. Once everything was painted...Nothing fit right. frame twisted. (?????) and the seat pan didn't fit all the way up into the body. I had to tweak a few things like the dash and windshield. It didn't take long but, I may have been the cause of the issues. I was in a hurry and you know how that works out. LOL Bernie Gilbow
  12. It's been a while since I've posted mainly due to lack of time but I did manage to finish a car this year for NNL East. Mainly a curbside and basically an out-of-box build. The only things that were parts box finds were the wheels. I painted the one-inch whites with a compass. I sprayed the body with Testors one coat Electric Pink. The interior was kept simple by painting white pearl with silver inserts. I had fun with the build but I found a lot of fit issues with the body. Happy modeling everyone and thanks for looking. Bernie Gilbow
  13. Wow! Makes me wish I still had mine. Same color but with red interior. Nice paint. Bernie
  14. Wow! That is a wild looking boat! I think twin out-boards would look pretty trick on this. Either way that is too cool. Bernie
  15. Wow! I like it. Love the color. Can't wait to see the finished product. Bernie
  16. I can hear Gasoline playing in the background. Nice. To bad he won't be doing the show anymore. But, I did hear of a future show in the works under a different name. Bernie
  17. Welcome aboard. Nice Build. The color looks great on that car. Where did you get the wheels? Are they from the Predicta? Bernie
  18. All I can say is WOW!!!!! That is beautiful. Bernie
  19. Hey Bill, about a couple of years ago I was in a fabric store and found a product called Bondex by Wrights. It's a pressure sensitive nylon patch for jackets, tote bags and things of the like.. They come in a variety of colors including white, black, blue, etc. Each piece is about 3" x 7" and it has an adhesive backing. It's very flexible and conforms to most any configuration. In fact I found the link. ( http://www.jkmribbon.com/wholesale-bondex-patches.htm ) I hope this helps everyone. Let me know if you try it. Till then, happy modeling.... Bernie
