  1. Wow! Can't wait to see this when it's done. The grill looks so real. Awesome!
  2. I'll be there! Just finished the last car. Whew....
  3. Could paint it blue and call it Mal-lil-bu pony...
  4. Sunday Comet (Sunday Comics) ..... or Put Comet above the door as a name and write Santa's first choice on the door.... or Sky Rocket
  5. Wow! Cool!!! Love the color on it. Fits it perfect.
  6. The only thing that bothers me is you have to buy the kit in that time line that they give you. Why? If you have the kit or kits they have on the list why can't you enter that as your build. Is it to boost sales for Revell and Monogram? I have already bought at least 4 of the kits on the list as soon as they hit the market and don't really want to run out and buy another just so I have the receipt in that time line. I will say on a positive note, regardless of such a short list in comparison to what is availible I am happy to see they are trying to get this underway. That's my say...whether it counts or not...lol At any cost I wish anyone who does enter luck and happy modeling.
  7. Thanks eveyone. Now it's on to the next project which I have no idea what it will be but we will see.... @ sjordan2 Yeah it's a huge garage can't afford dinging the doors....
  8. Well it's done or at least as far as I am going at this point... For such a simple kit this car fought me every step of the way from paint to foil. LOL Anyway, it's painted Testors one coat white lightening and root beer. I nosed and decked it. Removed the door handles and scripts and used the kit supplied kustom tailgate and bumper nerfs. As for the taillights they are also kit supplied but I painted the ribs to make them look like the old style Lee lenses with the white mylar inserts. The hub caps are 58 Chevy caps with bullets in the center made from the tops of the kit supplied spotlights. The front recieved a oldschool kustom grill with floating headlights. As for the interior I made pleated inserts for the seats and headliner from Plastruct corrigated roofing sheets and robbed and modified a steering wheel from the parts bin. The suspension is lowered and exhaust tips were made from aluminum tube. So there she is...Thanks for looking and happy modeling.
  9. Thanks everyone for the help. I finished the elky and while I am not fully satisfied, it will have to do. I will however seek out the "New and Improved" foil this week. Once again thank and I will have pic's up soon I hope. Till then Happy Modeling...
  10. I got all that taken care of. Right after the paint is completely dry I foil then clear but never had these issues before. I did buy it at a hobby shop that rotates so...Seems thicker as well... Hmmmm
  11. Hey everyone, Was wondering if BMF changed the way the make the foil now. Bought two sheets and I am having no luck with it at all. I burnish it and cut it with a sharp #11 blade but it wants to curl or not contour to what I am working on. I'm working on the 59 Elky and I have to say after using this foil I am not happy. It looks cheap and unrealistic. Any comments? Thanks...
  12. Nice... How about some close up's of these baby's.
  13. Wow!!! Beautiful work. Love the color.
  14. WOW!!!!! That is Killer!!!! Love the stance and color.Looks like it's going 100mph standing still. LOL.... Great job!
  15. Besides no glass has anyone noticed the paint and chrome is dulled down or non-existant? Like the hubcaps almost look like resin casts. LOL
  16. I tell ya I started looking at the older posts like this and there is some cool stuff there.
