  1. Wow, That's pretty sharp. I like the color combo. I have yet to start mine. I haven't figured out which way I want to go with it yet. Oh well. Nice build. Bernie
  2. Thanks Everybody. It's kinda funny as I was building this I started thinking, gee it looks like a bigger Hot Wheel. Haha... I actually had a lot of fun putting it together. Not that I don't with others but this just was a bit different from the norm for me. Just enough to give me more ideas for the future. Mr. O. I think, if I can remember correctly the boards came with the Revell 2-n-1 Sedan kit. I was going to make a set out of wood but I just don't have the time right now. I think the '68 would look cool with that set up. Bernie
  3. Thanks guy's. Hope to see you at NNL East. Bernie
  4. Sweet. I love the look. Bernie
  5. This is just an update on the Camino. I finally got to paint the boards and add a bed cover with a built in rack. I just need to print my license plates and I'll be all set for NNL East. Can't wait to see some of the stuff I've seen on the forum lately. Anyway enough chat here are the pictures. Thanks and keep modeling. 6. Nice builds! I love the color, it really fits the car. Bernie
  7. Hey Terry, I did one of these a few years ago. It was a great kit to work with. I may have some pic's of it I will send to you. Hope everything is well. Bernie
  8. SWEET! Watson would be proud. Can't wait to see it when it's done. Nice work. Bernie
  9. Wow! Can you imagine the turning radius on this thing if it were real. Wild build. I like the idea. Nice job! Bernie

  11. Thanks guys. I hope to have a couple of new photos soon with a more tropical back drop. Bernie
  12. Hey everybody, Happy New Year. ( I know I'm kinda late but....) I just finished this last night. Well, I call it finished but I still have to paint the surf boards and make a rack for them. Close enough. Anyhow, this is pretty much box stock with the exception of the rims and tires which I found in a parts box. Oh, and of course the surf boards which are also a parts box find. No under hood shots though. I kinda made this a curbside. Sorry. I sprayed it with a Dupli-color / Tamiya blue metallic mix from the can. It sports Tamiya pearl white and blue interior with modified AMT seat belts. the exhaust tips are made out of polished aluminum tube. Hope you enjoy. Happy modeling. 14. Wow! Thats sharp looking. cool build. Bernie
  15. That sucks but, it could be an advantage if you wanted to simulate rust and do a barn / under tarp find dio. Hope what ever you decide works out. Bernie
  16. It just seems to scream REAL in my head so that's what I'm going with. Although the voices in my head have been wrong before. Bernie
  17. I'm going with real...No wait, yeah real. Bernie
  18. Thanks everybody. I'm glad you liked it. Sorry I didn't respond earlier, been real busy at work. Anyway, thanks again. Bernie
  19. HHmmm! I'm going with ....Model. Bernie
  20. Well it's been a long summer and I really haven't worked on much but I did manage to finish this. (I only have a couple of things left so I'm calling it finished.) It's based on the AMT release and is pretty much out of the box with a couple of exceptions. It's painted Tamiya (TS-60) Pearl Green with green and white interior that's been flocked. BMF has been added and parts box wheels and tires hold it up. I gave it a California rake and plan on putting aluminum down drafts out the back. Over all not a bad kit. Lots of options but If you end up with the ominous sink mark in the right front fender good luck. Although I'm pretty sure most if not all of you will find this an easy task to overcome. Anyway thanks for looking and happy modeling. 21. I agree with a few people here, that you should sit down and discuss the issue with your mom and come to an agreement. It may not be easy mind you but at least she would see where your coming from. I would maybe suggest a 50/50 split. spend some time outdoors during the day along with doing your chores if any, then work on your kits at night. I do not suggest you give up your love for the hobby. There are many people who did only to realize later it was a bad choice. You could point out that it is a positive hobby in the sense that you meet a lot of great people who support what each other do and it's much better that going out and getting into trouble with gangs and what not. Good luck and happy modeling. Let us know how you make out. Bernie
  22. I'd swear that you might be able to adapt a pop rivet head for metal caps with a little work. They just about have the same shape. Bernie
  23. Sweet! I love the look of this car. Simple but beautiful. Bernie
  24. I'm going with Real. Bernie
  25. Yeah, I'm going to have to say real on this one. Bernie
