  1. Looks great! As I said at the Showdown, this build has inspired me to buy the AMT 71 Charger kit and built my own Pro-Tourer. I've also heard that the chassis from the AMT kit can be used with the crappy AMT 74 GTX kit so imight need to buy another. Anywho I love the color, the shine and the wheel treatment.
  2. Cool build Len! The detail looks awesome! I love the hood hinges. Did you use the Revell chassis and what not? Did you keep the kit gas tank or did you build a fuel cell? Can you bring it to the March meeting? I'm like a 3 year old with all of these questions. Thanks!
  3. Does anyone know where I might be able to find a fuel filler door similar to the one in the trunk lind of this Sunoco Trans Am Camaro? Thanks!
  4. ThatOneEmoKid, you could come out to a monthly meeting club meeting, as well. Click on the link in Len's first post. The next meeting is Sunday Jan 4th at around 1:00 pm. We'd love to have you.
  5. That's pretty awesome lookin'. Can't wait to see where you go with it!
  6. Definitely get the 64 Chevy chassis, particularly the California Wheels issue, it has the cool torque thrusts and the lowered front suspension. Here's my in progress one with the 64 chassis and the newer bed. The front roll pan is from the 72 Chevy kit. I plan to do a similar one with the original stepside bed also. P.S. Watch the fit of the hood, its seems to require a little work to fit just right.
  7. Try the AMT 84 GMC Pickup kit, it should have more or less the same running gear.
  8. Other hobbies!?! Who has time for other hobbies!?! You mean to tell me that model cars aren't all you do or think about, besides family, kids and work, of course? Apparently you all lack dedication. I like to fish, but I haven't been in years. I love to snowboard, but I haven't done that in years either. I LOVE my 1 year old son and I get hang out with him every day.
  9. Ahh, I love this build. Thanks for posting it up again.
  10. Great looking frame! Can't wait to see the end result.
  11. Very cool! I want one!
  12. Well, if you're in the mood for a contest, we have 2 annually in Irving, not too far from Texas stadium. Check out http://www.themcma.com. We're the Metroplex Car Modeler's Association and we have members from all over the Metroplex. I agree with Cruz. A club is a great way to get together with others who share our sickness, even if they aren't into the same automotive style you are. You can learn a lot and it's just plain fun to be around other modelers.
  13. Great build Lyle! Did y'all notice that he couldn't build it without using at least some parts from a Revell 32 Ford kit?
  14. Looks great! Awesome color and great work on the vinyl top!
  15. Looking good Marcos! It'll be fun to see this progress.
  16. Looks excellent, as usual, Jay Vee. Excellent chassis work and stance. I love the Tamiya gunmetal color, it's awesome! You're making me rethink this kit. I have the older issue with the incorrect Ardun heads. I might have to copy your styling cues on this. Speaking of the Ardun heads, do you have plans to use the engine from this kit? I love seeing your in progress builds, by the way.
  17. Man, that thing is awesome!
  18. We will be in Radford, VA for Christmas, but I don't thik I will be able to make it for the December meeting, unfortunately.
  19. All of these photos are making me homesick.
  20. Great concept! What kind of chassis modifications will you make to get it into the weeds?
  21. Excellent buid, JayVee! The paint and stance look great, as usual! The foil work is excellent as well.
  22. I also agree. Seeing your builds of this kit inspired me to go buy a couple. I now have 4 and am thinking of buying more!
  23. It's great to see your stuff again, JayVee! Looks amazing, as usual. Can't wait to see your engine cover.
  24. Looking good, AJ!
  25. Looking great, as usual!
