  1. AMT Wagonrod, AMT Phantom Vickie and any of the Revell 32 Fords, especially the 5 window for the Hemi. Favorite source for tires is the Revell 29 Pickup and 31 Model A Sedan.
  2. Hopefully the new ownership at AMT might see fit to release a version or two of this car.
  3. That bare metal 34 Ford Pickup isn't a rat rod. It's Jimmy Shine's (of So-Cal Speed Shop Fame). It was featured in The Rodder's Journal as an in progress feature. He finished it, but left the body bare steel.
  4. Don't forget the AMT 39 Wagonrod. It also comes with a nice 4 link rear suspension with an air ride set up. I have like 4 of these just for the suspensions/chassis.
  5. Amazingly smooth! Great job!
  6. Very nice! This is one of my favorite kits. Too bad they had to butcher it for that stupid Barnabas Vampire Van, or whatever it was called. By way, I heard that kit is about to be re-issued.
  7. So nice! The detail in the engine bay is just amazing, as is the detail painting/ weathering on the chassis. Nicely done!
  8. Lyle, please don't leave!!! That is one awesome Hudson!!! What engine did you use? The 392 Hemi with Norm's intake?
  9. Nicely done! The second photo from the top looks like it could be a real car!
  10. Awesome builds! I am always surprised by the relatively small number of historic trans-am series models that get built, and the lack of trans-am series specific kits. A good source for the 67 Cougar (body, at least) is the Model King funny car. You would have to come up with a chassis and interior, but a 67 mustang might fit the bill for a donor kit, especially if you're gonna cut it up to make a race car any way.
  11. I agree, fantastic build! Aren't all wheels just bling when you get down to it? Just something to add to the aesthetic of the car, especially when talking about about a model? Think about it - baby moons, dog dishes, sombreros, beauty rings, 5 spoke mags, wire wheels, etc. it's all about style...
  12. Yawn, another awesome build from cruz. What else is new? Just kidding. This thing is awesome!
  13. This is the kit he's working on, it's a 2-Door Sedan: This is a 5 Window: (Snagged from a post by excesivefire) Technically the 2-door sedan does have 5 windows, though...

Interesting bit of trivia I learned form The Rodder's Journal article a few issues back - this was the first car with hydraulics for raising and lowering the car. He got tired of getting tickets for being too low when it was his daily driver (before the bubble top) and he used a hand pump to raise and lower it when cops tried to write him a ticket. Also possibly the first bubble top, but according to the article, this is also debatable.
  15. Not to pick any nits, but isn't this a 2-door (tudor) sedan?
  16. What about the Corvette racer? It looks a lot like the Accurate Miniatures kit?! Also interested to see the Stacey David kit.
  17. That is one stunning model! The photos taken in the sun are really outstanding. Check out the sparkle coming off of the paint there!
  18. Man, that is awesome!!! One critique though; the "gills" behind the front wheels on the front quarter panels look a little too vertical and squared-off. Would they look better angled forward with rounded corners to make it more modern/Ferrari like? Take a look at the body of the Ferrari Superamerica kit you have.
