Nicely done! And agree with George about the bumper...
  2. This has got to be the best rendition of this model ever done in the history of this kit!
  3. I can't write anything because all my words would be XXXX'd out!
  4. Nice...but it's a 67, not a 68.....
  5. Hey Hal Jr....glad to see you aboard here!
  6. Download a photo editing program called Irfanview. It's free at www.irfanview.com It's a VERY easy to use photo editor. You can open your photo in it, easily resize it...I usually resize to the option of "Best fit to screen size". And then when you save the photo a little box comes up that asks you at what quality you want to save it as...anywhere from 0 to 100. For internet postings I usually choose approximately 50% and I end up with a picture under 100kb! I've been using it for...well...since I've been on the internet practically. And it will do a whole host of other things for you too. And did I mention it was free?
  7. Dang...you got it pretty close to your inspiration shot! Nice work!
  8. Kevin...yeah..I hadn't expressed an opinion one way or the other. Like Drew posted, I was just looking for opinions of some guys who build stock cars. I was just trying to get a feel for what the stock car modeling community thought about it.
  9. Very nice indeed!
  10. Ditto what he said!!
  11. One thing to remember..not ALL gassers had their front ends raised high in the sky. There were plenty of gassers that kept the nose at around stock height. And ditto for the straight front axle setup...they ALL didn't have them. And if you wish to be accurate height wise, the engine crankshaft centerline could be no more than 24" above the ground. Translated into a model that would be pretty close to one inch. So if you raise the front end WAAAAY up in the air and your engine crankshaft centerline is up more than an inch...it would be illegal. As an example..look at Burnout's post just above of his beautiful black Willys...it's pretty level. Everything that Niko posted above was taken directly from the late Byron Stack's superb gasser website...Gasser Madness. Go to www.gassermadness.com and look around...you'll find lots of photos and a ton of inspiration. If you want something specific as to the gasser rules, just hit me up...I have some of the old NHRA rulebooks. Be glad to help ya out!
  12. Ditto exactly what Jim said! Did you or anyone else hear about the numbers? I mean, I wonder if they had an increase in participation this time or what?
  13. I think they're all out of shiny watches. So you get a wrist mounted mini sundial instead!
  14. Goodbye Lt. Commander Quinton McHale! Hosted on Fotki
  15. But you only want the watch if it's SHINY! ...right?
  16. Coming along nicely...looks like you're gonna do this car justice!
  17. Wonder if anyone ever burned their leg getting out of that car.......
  18. Yep...if you had posed that stunning model in a different setting you could almost not tell it wasn't 1:1!
  19. Welcome aboard Rich...you're gonna love it here!
  20. Bee-yoo-tee-full!
  21. Looks to me like you had it down pretty pat back then. You have a consistently clean building style. Nice work!
  22. Alright Dave! Likin' this!
