ive had alot of luck just freezing the kit in the freezer without water. the cold makes the glue brittle because it doesnt contract at the same rate as the plastic. lettem sit in there over night and in the morn pop them out and go to it.

ok, i misunderstood. i thought we were breaking it down into larger groups, body, paint, interior etc. ill stop where i am and pack it up.

actually i took a .25 in. pie cut out of the rear roof to bring it down a bit, then i split the roof 90% of the way forward to bring the door arch back then made a new upper door. removed the belt line, pie cut the hood and brought the front edge down. still contemplating the 57 fins

just before final coats of clear. i think the flames came out ok.

some flames to snack on. got some minor touch ups for the black then a coat of clear, some contingency decals then more clear.

looks like i'm going with some flames.

i think i'm gonna do it as a privateer, i've got 2 partial kits that make all of the total parts. undecided on color so far, lets see what a few hours bring. this has turned into one of those 24 hour builds but in 12 hrs.

thats what sucks about quitting and being at work, we can smoke anywhere in the shop but the wellbutrin is taking the edge off. i havent tried to kill anyone yet.

well, ive had a few today (5) much better than 2.5 packs a day.

pulled this outta the mothballs, hoping to be distracted by all of the detailing opportunities.
