  2. you should just use your model cars magazine check
  3. I don't even care for baseball that much, however it sounds like an interesting project.
  4. I feel like it has been 4 years since I first heard it was being repopped. if I had known it was going to take this long I would have shelled out the going rate for an original.hopefully this has been the last push back and we really will see it in november just in time for winter.
  5. sometimes an eraser will work it may take a while but you won't ruin the plastic and you probably have one around . I use one that I got at staples that is retractable.
  6. ...and the winner for best alternative ferrari build goes tooooo. I like it ,I like ferraris and this is the best build of one I have seen in a long time .
  7. Is it a single day event? if so which day is it on?We try to make it to at least one day of back to the fifties.
  8. I have been a member of mccm since 2006 and you are right it is so nice to have people to talk to and share with.
  9. James some random pics this is all that was in the junior category. I really enjoyed the show this year . If you are in the area next year check it out!
  10. My two youngest sons ,Nathan 8 ,James 6 and I attended the NNL north show today. They both got up early and got ready to go . I only brought a few for the primer table (the two oldest are graduating and there hasn't been time to finish anything). we arrived fashionably late and set up the models then took a look at the vendors. I found a baldwin motion phase III corvette by mini exotics for 20.00 and snapped it up. bought some raffle tickets ,the guys love the hourly raffles they are always the first ones up there checking their numbers. the first raffle I won a diecast 1/64th corvette kit which Nathan and James built and entered.. after that they got a little bored so I gave them 5 bucks a piece 5 minutes later they returned with a grocery bag each full of stuff whats funny is they still had money to buy a couple of raffle tickets as well.. They spent the rest of the day playing with a new friend and their bargains. several vendors were very generous and helped fill the bags further . Nathan had wanted the dukes 1/16th kit all day and kept hoping he would win it in the raffle ,he didn't, however a very very kind club member did and let him take it home .needless to say he is super excited to get working on it. I am very grateful for the generous nature of the vendors and club members that help encourage kids and I thank you. This also allowed me to actually chat with people and enjoy the models .I am always surprised at how the overall workmanship across the board is very high quality.
  11. very nice work. I like the two tone paint and the fact that you finished it!
  12. hot wheels made a similar motorcycle in the same scale.
  13. Wow, that is really long.you probably have room to put four allison engines in there.
  14. very nice I love the paint.
  15. If that body is the same one I have ,the amt c 1500 pick up cab lines up pretty well with the top kick and would make adding an interior a little easier .
  16. I like it nice weathering on the car and and everything else I think the fence could use a little more age though.
  17. nice work so far. any idea what kit those rims are from?
  18. I like it a lot !
  19. yes the yellow stuff in the headlight area and the front bumper. I think once I get it painted it will all become much more clear.
  20. I like it a lot. what does it look like with a more stock suspension and wheels?
  21. Thanks Jeff, you might appreciate that at one point this was going to be four wheel drive kinda like a brat, but I dont remember why I ruled out that option. I think the wheelbase is a little longer on the rabbit pickup. sounds like a fun conversion I think it may be a lot easier than one might think.
  22. Nice build .amazing what a little added detail will do for a curbside.
  23. I used two part epoxy on this one.I epoxied a rectangle to the front fascia area and cut, trimmed, sanded, filed, etc.until I got a shape that worked.I think next time I will drill holes before shaping for driving lights or air inlets or both. the most useful tool was a course/medium sanding stick. this is my first time using this stuff but I see a lot of potential .
  24. well if it was originally chrome I would say amt/lindberg 34 ford pickup,if it was white plastic I think the original 63'revell 57 chevy. I don't have the 57 chevy kit to confirm .I will check the 34 later if I can find it.
