  1. Those are cool pics and an interesting topic , the one I saw was a cab only custom .
  2. I have seen that , it's on my want list , it looks like it would have to be mid / rear engine powered or a curbside with the powerplant left to the imagination .
  3. Sweet ! Good looking out That's not the one I saw , however , it does confirm what I thought , that the model was the 63-4 ford pickup . I've seen a few as customs even saw one for sale on ebay once . It's fascinating that concept goes back to 64 . Thanks for sharing !
  4. I saw a similar build in a vintage magazine but I can't remember which pick up was used . I've always liked the concept of using only the cab rearranged to make an entirely different truck . It is supposed to be exaggerated but perhaps plausible . Just to keep it relatively simple I'll leave the wheel openings and green house as is .
  5. I love this tutorial ! Definite game changer. I used to only be able to find this stuff at Walgreens in small quantities which was fine they lasted a while , now you can find them in lifetime supply for relatively cheap on Amazon .
  6. That's the chassis from the AMT Jeep snap kit . The AMT-Top was built for AMT I can't find the proof but I researched it when I discovered this kit and that's what I recall
  7. Working with the clear plastic will be tricky . I think you could even make the side fold down to create a "stage" and be able to display several engines . That trailer is too short for an average sized person to be standing up in so for a flip up side or roll out canvas you'd need to add some height .
  8. Nice work so far ! I love it . I thought mine was neat because I made the steering work , now I see I could've taken it much further .
  9. I even know who that guy is lol
  10. In case anyone forgot the Ed Roth Surfite has a better than nothing Austin 850
  11. Was it just a revell Germany release or did revell US get it too ? I think I was waiting for the US release . Either way I think I'll hunt one down .
  12. I wonder what other variants Revell had planned and if we'll ever see them .
  13. I'd just add that fabricated chassis would have several different sizes of tubing plus you'll want extras to start over with or keep going so I suggest getting several sizes and get both tube and rod as sometimes one is better than the other . Watch out for warpage if using plastic it doesn't always happen but it can .
  14. You can get these rubber contour sanding blocks and cut them down to a more usable size or even at an angle . Perhaps not what you had in mind but definitely a good tool to have .
  15. That looks pretty good . I think it's kind weird there's not more out there , grilles and badges specifically but I'd guess there's some minor dash board and steering wheel differences .
  16. What's out there or has been out there ? I'm looking for photo etch , decals , wheels , conversions anything really . 1/24 Tamiya or revell
  17. I found it . Thank you for taking the time to look and consider what it may be .
  18. That's a good idea , I don't even know how to hunt down '70s and '80s 1/24 diecast . It most likely had an opening hood .
  19. I did a paper mock up to see if that would help narrow down what it might be .
  20. I don't think it is , I'm starting to think it's probably a diecast kit .
  21. There is " C 181 " and " 3599 " I kind of suspected a testors kit .
