  1. I've seen the tail panel (the area between the trunk lid and the tail light) on 70 challengers in body color ,Black(organisol?) and that silver color . Is there a rhyme or reason to it ? I cant tell if it has something to do with trim package ,stripe choice , color choice or just random choice of the buyer. Also if you have suggestions for the silver and black color in hobby paint because I don't have one in the driveway so it's hard to tell what they look like in the real world.
  2. That's the plot to the movie "WALL-E" . I don't want to ruin how the movie ends.
  3. I wonder if any of the older monogram or amt slot cars had a hard top I feel like I've seen one .
  4. Do you guys want good looks or crime fighting effectiveness ?
  5. Here's some that I have pics of a couple my kids built
  6. I think that's just here in the U.S.
  7. There's a guy that sells upgrades and plastic for these. You do have to use a certain kind of plastic . Sorry I don't have the specifics .
  8. I've always liked that about this forum ask a specific question and you get an answer almost immediately .This thread was more for suggestions other than the usual google ,forum options . I like that we have suggestions on how to better use google and links with other options . I guess I know there are more than a few foreign (to me ) companies that have great products (Aber is one that has some interesting and useful P.E. sets ) but are hard to find because I dont know where to look .
  9. There are a lot of great suggestions here ,thanks . I hope this is as helpful for others as it is to me.
  10. There are so many aftermarket options available to us . I keep a watch out for new and interesting P.E. sets and resin items ,however if I wasn't building or planning a build for some of these items it may not stay in the old memory banks . so how do you go about finding specific items for a build ? a google search doesn't even bring up stuff I know is out there ,the company sites are frequently out of date and the smaller upstart or newer companies are just unknown so how would I find those guys . I only know of some of this stuff because of this board like the corrected 69 mustang nose from a russian company that does mostly airplane stuff . there are too many forums to keep up on all of it so how can you hunt down stuff that you don't even know is out there .
  11. Groan. why didn't I think of that? Seriously I wouldn't have, but I'm glad you did and shared it.
  12. The newer AMT 57 check also came as a street machine only. which if you're building stock it doesn't have those parts in it.
  13. I would buy them for sure. Every once in a while the airfix 1/24 motorcycles would show up in the local hobby stores I bought them whenever I saw them.
  14. Check out the tips section there's a lengthy thread covering this subject .soaked ng your parts in super clean or similar degreaser removes most paint, easyoff oven cleaner does also .please use gloves and caution when using Any paint strippers . you can't just paint over a bad paint job it will show.
  15. Ok , but I'm going to leave the price sticker on it. Stay tuned.
  16. you could also check out some of the 3d printing companies like Shapeways . some items are to pricy but some are inline with resin parts.
  17. I found some 4"X4" foil candy wrappers at Michaels in the cake/candy making isle 50 sheets for $3 and some change . Its definitely thinner than regular kitchen foil . I haven't tried it out yet but I will .
  18. Thanks for the info , I believe it is the original issue I'll post a pic or two when I find the camera cable . I haven't researched this kit much yet but there wasn't a whole lot to be seen with the usual google search real or model . I know I won't be building it for awhile so I don't need to remove the shrink wrap but I sure want too.
  19. When was this last issued ? I found one today with shrink wrap still on it . just looking for some history on the kit .
