  1. Haaahahaaaa..thats great. nice build too.
  2. What a co-inky-dink, 63 Bonny happens to be my next build after a couple Nova's get finished up. It will be Nocturne blue with a tri tone blue interior and Modelhaus 8-lug wheels. It's an old built up, it will take a dip in the purple pond tomorrow night. This one has mismatched front seats, I'm pretty sure Modelhaus cast's these, but thanks to this thread, I will check MCW as well. Wish I could help with your search, good luck.
  3. That's not relaxed.....I'll post a few of mine for ya Testors Lincoln Mint GTO Judge kit with a little detail painting, looks good on the shelf Franklin Mint 56 nomad.....real nice diecast.....My Grandpa had all versions of their tri-five Chevies.....each grandkid got to pick one when he passed away.....I picked this one and I'll give it to a grandchild of mine in the(hopefully)distant future. Falfa's 55........I think it's a Revell....I bought it for the Falfa figure and now he's driving a 59 El Camino pulling a Chris Craft boat. I have all scales of diecast, have modified several of my smaller scales, and really wish I was able to afford more of the higher quality diecast's out there. If it interest's me, I'm into it, I don't discriminate because of material used in manufacture. I even used to have some made of wax, problem with those is that they begin to disappear as soon as you light the wick
  4. Wow Greg, that engine looks great!!! Any idea what kit the intake came from? Just a thought, but how about "sound deadening" just the wheelwells, in between them & up the driveshaft tunnel, it would tone down the yellow and you wouldn't have to blackout the whole thing. I did that on mine to add visual interest but it's pretty subtle against the Fathom green. Keep the pics comin, can't wait to see those big Mickey T's under the quarters.
  5. Ahhhhh home..............as much as I like Iowa, it feels good to be back, and in the swing of things. First is a shameless plug for ya, and the stash I picked up at MVR Hobby on Spring Street in Davenport. It's my first stop every time I'm in town, models(90% automotive), diecast, and related paraphernalia from floor to ceiling. If ever in the area, stop by and see them, they are the last independent in the area. I support this message OK progress report. I managed to get both interiors finished, sans the shifter in the B/M car, and I'll say they both built up real nice. I added a little texture to the dash pad area when I sprayed the vinyl top, sealed everything, then sprayed with SEM vinyl paint and detail painted. I also got the body polished and foiled on Goldy, with a little luck I can get it finished up tonite and start assembling and wiring the B/M machine. welp, that's about all I got for now. BTW I need a real nice Hurst shifter for the B/M Nova, can anyone point me to a good kit or resin source for one? Thanks much
  6. COOL!!!! Looks like one of those great MCM cover shots. Ummmmm...............wanna sell the Marlin  hey, someone had to do it.
  7. I started using Photobucket over a year ago after I maxed out my free Fotki account. It is much easier to post than Fotki and unlimited pics(so far anyway). I'm also using Mozilla now but had AOL before, and never had a virus/pic problem. As Bill said, try giving Photobucket another shot, I don't think you will be disappointed. Oh yeah....... Welcome aboard.
  8. I seem to remember you posting the AMX before your hiatus, the engine looks great, really would like to see that one finished. Anyway, welcome back................ hope you enjoyed your break..... ........NOW GET BUILDIN'!!!!!!!! :D
  9. Way to pass on your hobby. I couldn't resist throwing this in, it's one of my favorite pics. My kids get a model each birthday and each Christmas from dear old Dad. This is my daughters first model from last Christmas, three years old,.....look at that concentration. She built her second, a 1/32 GTO last June and I hardly had to help her, ain't kids great.
  10. Nice job!!Looks ready for the stoplight drags.
  11. On the east coast, near the mighty Mississip, just outside the Quad Cities, first stop, MVR hobbies.
  12. HEY!!! I'm going to Iowa this weekend for a family reunion and I spent the first 22 years of my life there too  ummmm, yeah
  13. I think Time Machine Resin might carry some, I know they have earlier style dog dish wheels. Good service too. http://www.timemachineresin.bravehost.com/
  14. OOOoooooh, black and tan sounds good too.
  15. Looks good Daniel, I've got one underway in the same color, it's almost like it's got a glow to it, very cool. Nice chassis too. I like the look of the gold wheels w/redlines, but if your looking to be correct the wheels should be silver. Either way I really like the look of the open Rally's. BTW Where did you get those wheels anyway? Keep on postin'.
  16. Going to Iowa for a family reunion(NO,not THAT kind of reunion  ), I'm taking the gold body to polish on the road, but I won't be making any progress on the B/M for over a week and it's been a while anyway, so here's what I've been up to. I've decided on the BB 69 Camaro headers(thanks guys), but they they looked a little plain oob so I made collector flanges/block off plates and some flanges at the head. I painted them flat white, and started weathering them to look like, during installation, they were banged of the frame, etc, but not off the steering box..... cause there isn't one . Now I need to figure out how to make 1:25 grease monkey prints on them haha. I made a voltage regulator and wiring from some Evergreen and speaker wire strands, twisted together and painted. I also started to add the carb linkage to the..............carb?. Here's a closer shot of the traction bars setting in place, after paint and a wash. I got the plug wires all glued in place, better shot of the throttle plate too. Thanks for lookin'.... Back in a couple weeks.......... or three...............................Summertime RooooOOOoOOO0Oooooo000OOOOoooOOOOOOO0000000oooooo0000000OOOOOoooo000ls!!!!!!! doodoodadoodoodoodadoo:D
  17. Whewwww.......have I got some natural gas for Mrs. Pelosi.........................heehee
  18. Jeeeez.........this got more replies than my last Under Glass post.
  19. You betcha, Tan.
  20. Looks good so far, I like the color.
  21. Same here(more than 2 though), and I used so much tube glue in the past that I ended up breaking things, destroying any hopes of a rebuild, and then comes the regret. Last one I took apart was the first one I ever entered in a contest(besides the county fair 4H exhibit), and I took it apart to provide parts for another misguided, and yet unfinished project. I've considered putting that one back together more than once. And like the saying goes" It is only "original" once". With that being said..................If it were mine and I had an itch to do something with it, I would disassemble it (gotta love those promo style chassis), probably just polish it out or possibly reclear the body if possible, and BMF it. I'd paint detail the interior, and front and rear bumper/grille/light units, then play around with possible wheel and tire combo's. That would keep the look it has, and your "feelings" for it, but make a better model out of it. My 2$(there's no cents key on this keyboard) Or you can send it on over and I'll do it for ya'
  22. Turned out great Lyle. Those sidepipes do look good, maybe I'll have to try scribing mine a little deeper. I'll race ya when mine's done................
