man that is one nice build up. Yes what kit did you use? Was it a multi peice body? Sweet buildup. Probly have to get me one now.

Dirk all i can say is wow. I love it . I would have never thought of that. So is it going to be a street rod. Traditional custom dragster or what. Looks sweet. Is that a vet frame under it?

Well i joined another build off on a car site which has a model social group. So the build off is you can build either the revell new 49 merc or the 32 ford sedan. I decided to build the merc. So today i started on it. Glued most of the motor together, primed the interior pieces, and primed the body. Gona u probably use ######'ns idea with the chrome paint base. Then gona spray a lilac glitter over it and then its going to get a testors transparent grape iver that. Then about 6 coats of clear and a wet sand and polish . Gona be sweet. Gona have pics tomorrow. Gona run the sombrero caps, maybe make my own lake pipes, gona take the kustom tail lights from amts 49 merc the ones with the 2 caddi lights in them and use them, maybe use the 4 carb intake from revell 354 caddie parts pack and also the valve covers. As fer interior, Gona be a black floor, Then white seats and door panels with the tuck and roll a candy grape color. Hows that sound??

Well from your previous builds i saw your mainly into sport cars right. How bout timayas bmw 635 cis? Always wanted to build one for my dad as he has a 633 csi with a custom roll pan in the rear and he started shaving the trim. Sweet car but everything he does it kindof kicks him in the rear all the time. He fixes one thing another thing breaks. Well back to models, Lets see, I think its a timaya kit but a mecedes 300 sl roadster. The old one which was based of the gullwing. Or timayas alpina 3 series. Or this one is odd but how bout revell 49 merc or bmw e21?

I will join gregg with my guess of model. George i think i will tell you on friday. There is a certain part on that car that gave me the clue. I may be wrong as i dont know if it was in real but i wont tell what it is But if i am right will tell on friday. Lets wait and see.

and send my stuff Havent worked on my truck. This is my last week of summer break then i just have after homework and on weekends to work on my stuff. Also joined another build off were we are building either the revell 32 ford sedan or revells 49 merc. Will be building the 49 merc for that while building the 50 truck. Great builds everyone. 84vanagon the y block form either 56 ford or 57 ford are sweet. Robert81 is right. The 56 ford has even kustom parts for it. Speed parts. So personaly i would go with the one out of the 56.

thanks for the responses. It was something that has been in the back of my mind for a long time. Also i asked was because some may have seen this i will be doing some hearse and ambulance conversions in resin. So i have already one person that wants 2 but i told him that it will be a long time till i am ready to go ahead with casting. So it helped me out. Thanks fer the info.

Yes you realy did a great job. Just reminded me of somthin. When i go with my parents up to l.a. we drive a certain way out of our town. Couple miles up a certain road there is a house on the left side and in his front yard he has bout 4 to 5 20 to 30 fords including a 2 door sedan and an old c cab ford. I know of topic but this diorama just reminded me of that house. Great job.

cal very nice. Love it. Yes it still qualifies as a kustom since the kit was a custom and it looks like the door handels are shave so it dont matter. Kustoms WOW. Love your build. Its so awsome. I realy want to see more. Those rims look at home on your car. The opening doors look flawless. Just wow. Hey george mind if i join you and the crapn I'll bring the dusters Hey gramps again nice score. Hey if you want/need maybe some kustom parts, my friend has a partial chrome tree. Dont know if he would part with it but i would ask him. I wanted to buy it off him and he told me he would keep it but he did give me the kustom grill insert . Nice score. Always loved those origional amt trucks and caminos. So far i myself have the 60 el camino in great condition bought for 20 bucks and a 60 chevy truck which was a present and its currently in restoration. I would love to see what the truck would look like with sombrero hubcaps on and whitewalls and a candy green finish

Your very lucky. Woulnt mind takeing that 61 ford of your hands but i want to see what you come up with. I can imagen it painted testors laqueres inca gold and white walls and sombrero hubcaps NIce score. Think i will post up what i bought from a friend. it just made me wonder when i saw couple of those ''look like all american models resin cast items'' on ebay made me wonder if they were sold or whatever else. Do you think if you would ask him to cast something would he do it or not?
