  1. Engine looks great Cruz. Are you adding a bracket for the floating alternator? I didn't see one in the kit.
  2. Thanks Curt. Question, if the paint comes as an acrylic enamel, can I thin it with Lacquer thinner if need be or should I use enamel thinner such as mineral sprits or the like?
  3. How good are these paints? I want to put in an order, I know they sell their own thinner but what else can I thin them with? Can I use lacquer thinner?
  4. Truly amazing work my friend, always a joy to see your work!
  5. This is really nice work man, I was just checking out the one that Cruz is doing also and you guys are doing a terrific job on these.
  6. Wow Cruz, your work is always amazing my friend, truly inspiring. Your paint jobs are always so smooth and all the details on the panel lines and Bare Metal Foil are really exquisite. How the heck you get that BMF around those wheel wells so nice, I will never know but please, keep us posted on this thing, I want to see the whole build before I attempt to start on mine.
  7. Great start Cruz, I will keep the bumper detail in mind when deciding on building mine.
  8. Question? After finishing wetsanding my model, I used Maguairs cleaner wax to bring out the shine and eliminate the swirl marks. Can I place my decals on top of this without problems? Will they stick on this surface? I don't want to take a chance and ruin them since I have heard advice on not placing decals on top of wax but not after polishing.

    '59 Caddy!!!!

Inside, outside, under the bed or anywhere, this thing still looks awesome. I would take the model to a professional photographer and set it on a real background, now that would be neat!

    '59 Caddy!!!!

Wow Cruz, your builds always inspire and motivate me to do better, I just hope some day to be on your level. You should take this model to a professional photographer and use a real background, it will fool a lot of people. Thanks for always sharing your in progress and completed builds with us mortals!
  11. What a great idea, and the model ain't too flabby either! Great paint and details.
  12. You are doing a fantastic job on this model my friend, thanks for keeping us posted!!!
  13. Great to see you back in action Cruz, I am certain it will be another stunner. I like the way you always do your chassis details, very realistic.
  14. Looks amazing, those decals are never easy to apply, you did a terrific job.
  15. Hey Cruz, you just don't have an idea how much my wife and I have laughed at this, that was hilarious
  16. Nicely done Cruz, chassis looks great, the only thing I don't like about this kit is that the rims protrude too much from within the rims, how did you fix this, yours looks just right.
  17. If you give me the Vega, I'll accompany you on your next outing!
  18. Great stuff Cruz but you have to stop shrinking real cars man! My favorite: the GTO, even though that Starliner just looks so good. You should have put more pictures of each of the cars.
  19. Very cool stuff Lyle, I love the '57 Chevy gasser.
  20. I thought he went overboard with that also but he does have a nice DVD. I think I will save my money though, there is a lot of great advice here in the forum also.
  21. Oh, oh, here we go again!
  22. That last picture just looks so real man The red line tires surely make this thing really stand out my friend, great job.
  23. Oh man! As usual, great work, this thing looks so real. I have been looking for a color like that to do a porsche I have in the works, seeing that you took those pictures inside, is this more or less the true color?
  24. This is very nice man, color is awesome. Can't wait to see this one completed.
  25. That's funny, I was thinking the exact same thing! Cruz, what clear did you use for your GTO? Looks like urethane, do you order a specific brand? I keep reading about people here ordering some paints from various places as far as Japan. Where do you order yours?
