  1. I have always wanted to see this car built with that color, surely does look nice, the black accents look good against that pinkish color.
  2. Very cool Cruz, you had this one very hidden from us brother.
  3. Awesome man.
  4. No Kevin, that was the previous issue number 150, the May/June issue. I do have some names from the forum like Peter Lombardo, Gary Kulchock, Marcos Cruz and others that had their models featured.
  5. Looking great Cruz, you can even go a little lower but I also think is good the way it is. I have been looking at images under google of these cars and have found out that some are way high, don't know if it's because of the tire choice. Can't wait to see those rims painted.
  6. Don't you worry Cruz, these are the kind of questions you get when you are a good modeler! I even learned something new and also something to keep in mind when working with metallics. You know what I like most about your paint, the actual metal flakes are down to scale, not big and toyish looking.
  7. OMG Cruz, I had a friend that had the exact same color car and rims back in Puerto Rico, wish I had photos. Unfortunately he got killed in that car while drag racing. I will forward this to his brother, I am sure he will end up crying when he sees this, I am not joking. I will follow this build very closely man, thanks for sharing brother.
  8. WOW! My favorite builder comes through again with another fantastic build. I absolutely love the color and I like the fact that you didn't disturb it with any decals my friend, leave it just the way it is, it will be hard to see a better one built. Interior is just awesome man and those slicks look like they are ready for some serious racing!
  9. The embossing powder trick is certainly better than the flocking, this interior is looking awesome my friend. How do you apply the embossing powder? Is it similar as you do the flocking? Did you paint over that?
  10. Interesting project, very cool. Lots of good ideas implemented here, please keep us posted!
  11. Really awesome work there Cruz, I think you nailed it also. I am keeping all this reference and photos, definitely will be using it when I decide to build mine. Can't wait for you to start painting that body and adding the BMF and with the decals in place, it will most certainly be a show stopper!
  12. It's really amazing to see how the various shades of colors can add so much detail to a model, this chassis looks like it has a million parts, you are doing a great job on this model and I can't wait to see it finished, I am sure it will be another amazing build from you.
  13. Oh yeah! Didn't know you had started another project, I am going to enjoy this one. I purchased that kit about a month ago and also thought it was great. I am thinking about doing mine as a custom but I will see how yours comes out, I mean, I would love to use the Passionate Poncho decals and if I decide to go custom I won't be able to do so, it would be a terrible waste of decals. What primer did you use to paint your chassis? The black frame against that red oxide color looks terrific!
  14. Love where you're going with this thing, color is beautiful. Do you get your clear locally, I have been trying to learn to use urethanes. Can you tell us how you went about mixing and using it?
  15. I am also going with the Olds done by Cruz, I saw this in person and believe me, pictures don't do it justice. Paint was just so clean and the overall look of the model was so realistic.
  16. Sounds like Skip is a grumpy old man.

Great work, color is very cool. I have 2 of these kits but I have to make sure that I learn to master the art of painting before putting one together.
  18. Great show, I was very glad to finally meet you in person Cruz, I know you give Mr. Stillwagon a lot of credit but your work is amazing also, absolutely love what you did with your Hurts Olds and that little Rotary Powered Vega, you don't see that very often on the contest tables. Thanks also for all your painting tips, I will surely put them into practice. Hope to see you next year again if I don't make it to the Gilbertsville, PA show in September.
  19. I'm down brother! Can't wait to see your work and finally meet you!
  20. This is nice, now all you need to do is get together with Cruz and do a nice photo shoot, they are both gorgeous!
  21. I know what you mean Kevin as I have 2 from him also, you hit the nail on the head with your reply. I am also a collector even though I do a little building here and there but cleanliness and paint are always on the top of my list also and even though I buy from several other people, I prefer his models because of that. I think his price is very fair also. I would love to buy from others here too but I do have my limitations when it comes to paying for some builds. I am not saying they are not worth the money they are charging, I just know when I can't afford some of them.
  22. You just made my day with this thing, I mean, I just bought another one of these kits just to have it in stock, it's that beautiful man. Great job my friend, your attention to detail is superb. The engine bay looks very busy too. This really should be gracing the cover of a magazine, model or real!
  23. I have that kit, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful kits ever made. This is pretty cool, I wish I had the time to start on mine one day.
  24. Very cool build, the white stripes and the 2 yellow really look nice. I have always liked the style of this body.
  25. Awesome Cruz, how much more to go? Doesn't look like a lot more. I like how busy that engine bay looks, you have really done a fantastic job on an already nicely designed kit.
