    Thanks guys, It's actually not finished yet. I just got a Detroit 671 engine and Fuller transmission to put in it, i'll be scratchbuilding the air start tank for behind the cab, redoing the fuel tanks to remove the seam and they'll get real metal tire chains hanging off them. The wheels will be changed to little two holes as well. Here's a pic of the Cummins HBDS-600 that I bought for another truck. (to show the size)

    I have a Sherline lathe and a booth as well. The booth will emit a little overspray and get on the lathe if close enough but the lathe creates a lot of very fine particles that would kill any paint work! I have mine in separate rooms.

    Did some 1/87 choppin today! Converted an Athearn Consolidated Freightways, single axle sleeper cab Freightliner into a shorter single axle day cab. Chopped the cab, air dam, interior and chassis, drilled out the tiny air horn and exhaust stack, relocated the fuel tanks, added a battery box, added detail to the interior and cut out the lower half of the engine and trans so I can install a tiny Detroit straight six with a tiny Roadranger transmission. (pics are in reverse order, it won't let me change it)

    Now they put a white stripe on the tire to check for wheel spin.

    I would try a thin layer of Sculpy clay around the wheel, smoothed out, then spiral wrap a piece of thread. and then poke tiny holes around the wheel and let the clay harden.

    Is anyone else having any issues viewing Fred's Model World online! I can't get anything to work? I hit "new arrivals" or "in stock" and nothing's happens? I'm on an Ipad.

    LOL, I saw that same trailer, built at a hobby shop and they wanted $150.00 for it and it wasn't even half as detailed as I painted mine. I just thought, $150.00!?!?!? I can do better than that! The trailer kit cost me about $7.00 if I remember correctly?

    Thanks! Yeah, i've been collecting them since the eighties. DCP made a Home Depot truck a couple years ago but to me, it was a joke! 53' trailer and all they did was put a Matchbox forklift hanging off the trailer, by putting the forks under the load. That's why I built my own.

    It's actually 1/64 with a 1/50 Moffett forklift. Trailer was shortened from 53', forklift carrier added, tool boxes added, real wood deck added and the trailer headboard was built from scratch. On the tractor I added a headache rack, Five hole drive wheels painted white and Home Depot decals from Modeltruckin.com added to the doors, tractor mudflaps and trailer mudflaps. http://public.fotki.com/lotso/164-home-depot-truc/

    Does anyone know if anyone has made new, replacement copies of the decals found in Revell pickup and van kits?
