  1. What a beautiful build.... perfection!
  2. I'll chime in, I'd love to see a 57 Bonneville.
  3. Excellent. And Gregg thanks for this great forum!
  4. Bill, if I recall Ford's nomenclature correctly the Custom and Custom 300's were called "Tudor" and "Fordor" while the Fairlane / 500's were "Club Coupes" and "Club Sedans". One well known modeler said in the same thread; "..... one of the major kit manufacturers, and I'm pretty sure we're all going to be pleasantly surprised. This manufacturer is really quite serious about doing things right."
  5. Not much info but Revell is going to do a 50 Oldsmobile and a 57 Ford "Tudor"!
  6. I'm in the "so ugly, it's cool" camp. Great job!
  7. That's just TOO COOL! Please keep us updated.
  8. Glad to see Mr. S back on the bench! The board hasn't been the same with out him. Careful of that chromium fang!
  9. Truly bizarre... but cool!
  10. I'm thinking real.... ugly!
  11. Gonna be another wild one CB! You musta harvested a fresh crop of 'shrooms again! PLEASE keep us updated!
  12. Cool! Very nice work!
  13. There is much sage advice above. I built my first glue kit in late '63, and went hard and heavy and had FUN untill I joined our model club in '85. The club had/has some very noted builders. Then I was taught the evils of mold lines, seams and orange peel. They meant well, but it was so drummed into us that even on a shelf model such evils were unacceptable. As a result productivity and FUN went way down. I suggest trying one thing "new" on each model you do. Don't try to do a lot on any one model at one time, or you might find yourself getting bogged down. As you get comfortable with each new step you can incorporate more into your next model. The main thing is to have FUN!
  14. Cool, Evil's back! Now we can return to un-normalcy!
  15. Very cool, Gary. I have a late 50's Hot Rod that featured them. Spot on!
  16. .... hmmm with Skwirly's absence from the board and John's "biking injury" , I wonder if Skwirly didn't exact revenge on CB for keeping him locked up in that pink dresser and bite him on the finger with that chromium tooth.... As Sherlock Holmes would say.... "elementary, my dear Watson"....
  17. Oops, I meant the blue Fleetwood in your avatar.
  18. Anytime, Marshall. By the way is that your hearse on the Professional Car board?
  19. I saw that, but it didn't dawn on my stupid fingers. Then I was too lazy to edit my post. Since it is the SS verison, it got bumped up to "must have" status. Thanks.
  20. Hi Marshall. The reason the hood doesn't fit is a lot of the tooling was based on the old 55 Nomad. Unfortunately when the new body was made nobody bothered to see if the carry-over Nomad hood would fit. At one time there was a corrected hood in resin. I want to say it was by Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland (not 100% sure though). They don't have a web site, but you might look through MCM to find a phone number.
  21. NEAT!! I can't wait to see more!
  22. Nice stuff, Dave. I have the GTB, and other than the tires it's a neat kit. I must have had my head in the sand, when did the Revell D Jag come out? O well, another kit to add to my want list!
  23. The Ford C-Series are one of my favorite trucks. You did a great job on this one Alfa!
