  1. very nice job I was thinking about doing that one myself But then, there's this time/space condumdrum I have a problem with (besides my speling)
  2. HEH, I'll give you ten bucks and a free subscription to MCM!!!!! :-) I agree with the boys, about $125 or so, depending on who wants it, and how long it hasn't been on Evil Bay, I mean eBay (can I get sued for that?).... Now, post some pics of your Grumpy collection. We want to drool!!!!
  3. If it's the weather, then were are all the Jawaiians? Gil, Rich, moi, that's about it..... Welcome, Ron! Now get busy building and posting!!!!!1
  4. Welcome Johnny Nothing but nice friendly people here that actually build!!! :-)
  5. She keeps on calling me I had to get a restraining order Man, women just can't take NO! Haven't seen anyone around, but then I was a hermit for five years here Probably will see more "people" now that I'm out of my cage. Maybe I'll go work again in the biz, who knows.
  6. Great build of a great kit. Still one of my favorites. Looked even better in person, Raul! Correction though, I still own Plastic Fanatic. It is the mag I took over from Roy, before I started Model Cars. Long story, it gets confusing, but they are two distinct mags. It's like saying Toy Cars and Models was Model Car Journal, if you know the story behind that one :-) I remember doing the fix on the door windows years ago with the help of our local club guys here. Bringing back memories....
  7. Interesting club project, too bad none available.
  8. Milt, need to know what your budget is. Can go from there. I just did a Part 2 of the Photo Tips, which covers the cheaper cameras. What you need is something with at least 4 mega pixels, the higher the better Also, manual settings are a must, or at least be able to set aperture or F-stop. This will be a A or AV on the top of the camera. Usually they will be: P TV AV M If you see all those, it's probably a good enough camera. Most F-Stops on the cheaper cameras only go up (or down, depending on how you look at it) to F-8 This will work, but you will get some front-to-back out focus on the model. I never shoot Automatic or P, which I think is Program on most cameras. I really like the Canon G3, the Olympus 4000-5000 series (the 5050 is the BEST one made in that series) Look on eBay and ask plenty of questions. let me know what you budget is too
  9. You should get your work published in a magazine!!!!!!!
  10. Why thank you!!!!!

  14. He wants to buy me a japanese sword
  15. If you are going for a retro rod look, I would go for one of the quick-change rear ends that are out there. They are the favorite of many hot rodders, and look great sticking out the back end of a rod.
  16. Now, the fun part! Free one year subscription to the person who can name the distinguished guests in this pic at the opening day in the Hawaii State Senate!
  17. Geez, what's next, you guys want to get paid for every post??????? Seriously, let me know what other sections you want. Don't want it to get too big or long, maybe break into sub parts?
  18. You guys crack me up!!!! The project is a skateboard park near my house I am on the Palolo Neighborhood Board, and got into this by accident. I formed a nonprofit organization, Skateparks Of Hawaii Association (SOHA), and we had our first meeting last week. We are trying to get the State to cede the DOT land over over to the City so that the Park Department can build the park. I will be doing fundraising, grant requests, and other NPO money seeking activities. We have the Y here as our fiscal agent, so we are also tax deductible under their 501 3 C It's a learning experience, to say the least Yes, it was a blast to sit on the floor, don't think the smile will go away for a long long time.
  19. I got invited to sit on the floor of the opening day ceremonies for the 2008 Legislative Session here in Hawaii tomorrow morning. Not to sit on the floor, like no more chairs, but on the floor with a Senator I have been working with lately. It's a big thrill, and I am very excited, anxious, and nervous about. I actually got on the air on our local talk radio station yesterday and asked our governor some specific and pointed questions about a project I am working on. Just wanted to share with my family some pretty big news in my life.
  20. Byte me, Andy, again....
