  1. Heres my newest project that im working to take a break from my other builds im working on. My plan for this project is building it straight out of the box except for some detailing and a set of Atlas wheels (Torq-Thrust D) styled wheels that came from a Revell 69 Corvette Yenko kit. The paint is Testors One Coat Emerald Green Metallic to replicate the Rally Green paint. I'll try to keep ya'll up to speed on this project.
  2. Heres the latest on the 62 i'd recently managed to get the body painted that was two weeks ago i'd havent had the time to post progress pic until now. The paint is Dupli-Color Hempstead Green Metallic its a Honda color but it suits this sled.
  3. Mine is from the 1986 movie "The Wraith" Packard Walsh's Corvette Custom i'd been a big fan of this movie far back as i can remember.
  4. Awesome work on the Nova, Tyrone what did you use for the vinyl top moldings.
  5. Its ok no harm done i dont mind if you copy off mines thats what modeling is all about sharing ideas. I cant wait to see youre Fast Times 79 Z.
  6. James, I'd used a Revell 79 Camaro Z-28 "Streetburner" edition. Also i even replicated the "Cobra" car by using a Revell 49 Merc Custom "Special Edition". As for the carpet in the Camaro it had the Oyster interior in the movie car if my memory serves me correct it has the Oyster carpet in it as well but i might be wrong its been awhile since i seen a 79 Z with oyster interior. By the way im Rick not Jim LOL.
  7. Heres one i'd built back in 2009.
  8. Looks pretty good, Andy keep up the great work now you giving me ideas on how to build my 71 'Cuda. I dig the machined dogdish hubcaps.
  9. This thread makes me wanna dig my old GTX out of my stash since i had plans on replicating Richard Petty's 71 Roadrunner but never came to be.
  10. Not too much to look at just me.
  11. Another project that im working on. My plan for this build is a mild kustom circa 1962. So far i'd shaved all the body trim off, painted the frame & painted and assembled part of the engine. Still a good ways to go.
  12. I havent given it much thought since i got it in the mail today. I thought about replicating Chuck Norris' Ramcharger from the movie "Lone Wolf Mcquade" but still thinking about it.
  13. I'd got this one in a trade from member VW Dave i'd wanted to show it off. Not too bad for a 25 year old build not exactly a gluebomb. What ya'll guys think.
  14. My daily driver is a 1999 Ford Explorer XLT 142,000 miles. I'd bought it used last January for 3500 bucks been a great truck. All thats been done since i'd owned it is general maintance. The only problem i have with it is it makes a clattering noise at idle but other than that she runs like a clock.
  15. Its a Monogram 70 T/A. This body style was used from 70-73 and 74 had the same roof line but redesigned the front & rear.
  16. Im hoping this is the final coat of paint. Heres a pic of the wheels im using on this build i'd got these from Casey nice quality resin wheels. Its close but not exact but it will do.
  17. Some work done on the frame since i'd chucked the kits automatic tranny for a 4-speed the kits crossmember wasnt cutting it so i'd used one from the parts box.
  18. Some progress pics.
  19. Nice work, Chuck thinking outside the box on this one i might try my hand at building one of these.
  20. Heres my newest project that im working on inbetween builds which i'd bought this one from member Steve Doing a.k.a route66modeler. My plans for the Cutlass is building it Factory Stock with a few details im still undecided on the color scheme once i'd get to that point ya'll be the first to know.
  21. Dave, im too replicating Wooderson's Chevelle as well from a old Monogram kit that i have laying around. Nice work on yours. Pink's El Camino is gonna be hard to pull off in scale.
  22. Not much has been done since the last time i'd posted. Since then i'd chucked the kits bed since it was trashed with Testors orange tube cement in favor of one from a AMT 84 GMC Pickup added a set of Pegasas T's 19/23 inch. The front suspension is from a Revell 86 Monte Carlo and the rear axle is the kits Dana 60 might add a ladder bar setup for the rear havent got that far yet. The engine is from a AMT 57 Chevy Bel Air Street Machine kit that has the big block.
  23. I'd been wanting to replicate this car for a while now. I'd got this Monogram 70 Trans Am in a trade thanks to member Tim Jones a.k.a tjones87. First order of business was chucking the kits automatic tranny & shifter in favor of a 4-speed from a Revell 78 Trans Am with a shortened Nascar shifter to match the one in the movie car.
  24. Its hard to believe i had this project stored for almost two years thanks to member Casey for supplying the slotted wheels to make this build possible so heres where im at so far.
