  1. Awesome work on the Charger, Mike she looks great keep up the good work.
  2. Michelle- Youre Charger is looking awesome keep up the great work i love the Pure Gold paint gotta love those Testors Lacquers. If youre looking to replicate that factory overspray look spray the entire frame in Gray Primer and mist coat the Pure Gold. As for the solder goes you can buy some of that from Lowes or Home Depot. Lowes has their solder cheaper the sizes they sell is .062 inch and .118 inch if you want smaller size solder Radio Shack or Sears has it.
  3. Romell- You outdid yourself on this build i'd enjoyed seeing this baby built. The details are awesome and mind-blowing this finished project blew me away. You have everything but the kitchen sink on this wild ride keep up the awesome work i cant wait to see more of your work.
  4. Mcnally's Charger is looking sweet there, Mike i'd enjoyed the Mcnally Mustang build on the SA forum. Keep up the great work, my friend. I'll be watching this build like a hawk.
  5. I'd been kicking this around for a while the hood that i'd had on this one went on my 64 Chevy P/U Gasser project and had an unused hood in the parts box. I'd grafted the bottom portion of the hood onto the body i'll let the pics do the talking.
  6. I'd decided to throw some paint on this puppy it was a spur of the moment kinda of thing i'd painted it Dupli-Color "Engine Enamel" Alpine Green and also painted the interior the same color except i'd dullcoated the interior.
  7. I'd managed to get some paint on the Merc i'd used Dupli-Color Dark Shadow Gray Metallic which is the closest as i can get to match the movie car. The Chevy 350 ci is from a AMT Nascar kit and added an oil pan from a Revell 56 Nomad, parts box supercharger, Revell 69 Nova valve covers and also grafted a Turbo 400 tranny.
  8. Drew- The headers came with the kit and thanks for the tip about the headers. I just hate to cut out the section of the fenderwells for the correct headers. Im not necessarily looking for accuracy on this build im more focused on as far as accuracy goes is the exterior of the car. And again thanks for the tip.
  9. I'd came across this one in my parts stash it was an old build that i'd worked on three years ago it was finished but it fell off the shelf a few pieces fell off and cracked and chipped the paint so i'd stripped the paint and primed the body and havent worked on it since if you see the color of the frame that was the color of the car it was painted Dupli-Color Cayenne Red Metallic it might go back that color again but who knows.
  10. More progress on Old Reliable since the last time i'd posted i'd managed to get the body in paint i'd used Valspar Gloss White to replicate the original Ermine White paint.
  11. More progress done on the 40 getting rid of those seams were a pain once that was done i'd primed the body in Krylon Ruddy Brown primer which looks similar to the Red Oxide primer but that doesnt matter since the body is being painted Gloss Black.
  12. Nice work on the Chevelle Wagon, Matt i know i'll be ordering this one for sure. Is there anyway that a AMT 68 El Camino or a AMT 69 Cutlass 4-4-2 frame fit this body since these two frames are fully detailed compared to the AMT 69 Chevelle unit.
  13. Heres the pics from last nights club meeting. http://s239.photobucket.com/albums/ff189/lsufan70072/Flying%20Tigers%20Meetings/
  14. Thanks for the compliment, Kris who would of thunk this was an ex-diecast kit so i basically improved this kit without breaking the bank except utilizing spare parts from my parts box how cool is that.
  15. A friend of mines bought it while him and his wife went on a cruise it was originally a coffee bag that once had some columbian blend coffee in it so i'd used the bag to make a seat cover for the Woody and can make more seat covers for future projects.
  16. I havent done much to the Woody except by adding a set of chromed moons with wide whites. I'd used a set of wheel backs from a Revell 69 Camaro to fit the wheels. I'll have more progress later on.
  17. This is the first time im ever building a 40 Ford Coupe showroom stock the reason for that is next years contest theme is "1941" . I'd figured why not build a 40 Ford Coupe all original. I need to do a lot of research on this one. Heres where im at so far.
  18. I'd recieved the rear wheels from a friend Saturday that came with my Vette body. Im not sure where he got the wheels from but they came out nice the slicks came from a Lindberg 64 Dodge 330 S/S the Color Me Gone version and parts box wheel backs to fit the kits metal axle.
  19. Heres some updated pics of Packard Walsh's ride. I'd recieved the custom body from a good friend of mines that built this for me to save me the trouble of building it. He combined a Revell 68 Corvette Roadster as a starting point, grafted a Monogram 82 Corvette rear section and modified it, scratchbuilt the fender flares, headlight buckets. I was impressed when i'd got to see it. I'd primered the body to find any imperfections it came out ok and now it needs paint. The wheels came from a Revell 56 Ford F100 Pickup Hot Rod version i'd painted the centers with Testors Bright Red in a bottle and drybrushed the spokes with Testors Silver both in a bottle. What ya'll think.
  20. Nice work so far, Zuki keep up the great work im working on a 68 Dart GSS myself.
  21. I'd first heard about Frogtape on one of their commerials so i'd went over to Lowes and bought a roll just to try it out and its AWESOME. Heres the results on my 69 Cutlass. I'd bought the 1 inch tape which goes for $5.42 a roll. And they also have the 1 1/2 inch roll & 2 inch roll. The 1 inch is perfect width for models. And i also use 3M Green Auto Body tape.
  22. This build went together pretty good a major hurdle is fabbing the hood scoop for it. The engine im using is from a AMT Nascar kit and used a parts box oil pan & tranny. Now i'd gotta order up some pieces from Replicas & Miniatures and Arrowhead Specailities. One thing thats not shown in the movie is the interior except the dash.
  23. And not to mention good ol' Sly will be proud as well.
  24. This build isnt the one from 2008 that one is long gone this is a new build that im tinkering with. Im not doing too much on this one since its a custom kit already she needs some body work though. Shes gonna be wearing Testors One Coat Lacquer Fiery Orange Metallic. I'd added a set of 53 Caddy Somberos from a Revell 49 Merc. Im still debating on filling in the license plate recess or countersink it.
