I'd recently started on this project just never posted any progress until now. I'd filled in the parking lights with the sprue from the kit and modified the kits fender skirts in order to raise them a little. Heres where im at so far on this build.

Thats an awesome looking build nice details. Cant go wrong with a big block chevy under the hood.
-
Mark- Thats an awesome build you got there what parts did you use to do that conversion. I was gonna have mines casted but i'd changed my mind on getting it done. You ougha get yours casted modelers would go for that.

Heres a recent pic of the Oldscamino its not much except adding a set of Pegasas T's 19/23.
-
Heres where im at so far into this build instead of using the wheels as the 1:1 car i'd added a set of Pegasas T's 19/23 which looks awesome on this one. I'll keep ya'll posted for more further progress.

Tj- The Hammer had a cameo part in Tokyo Drift i guess Steve Strope wanted some pubicity for his ride. I dont get movie production companies taking these Muscle Cars and blowing them up take a new car and try that it makes me cringe everytime i see a classic get blown to pieces even if it was a junker i think potential. As for the build it will look similar to the Hammer except the gauges i'll have to see if Aoshima has these set of wheels and fit them on the car.

The first topic was another 68 Charger and messed up and posted a new one. Im still working on the model i'll have pics of that shortly.

This was an old build that i'd built into a drag car at one point but it wasnt cutting it so when i seen the Charger that Steve Strope built for George Poteet it blew my mind and figured build it. I'll change over a few things.

I found the right look for this one.

Heres another factory experimental racer that im working on its Dave Strickler's 62 Bel Air that he raced in the 62-63 season and good ol' "Grumpy" Bill Jenkins built & tuned up. Heres the 1:1 car that im replicating. Heres the build im working on. I'd started with the frame i'd painted the frame with Krylon Ruddy Brown Primer to replicate the red oxide undercoating and masked off the centersection of the frame and used Rust-Oleum Textured Black and also painted the suspension with the same textured black.
-
More progress on Dyno Don's Mustang its finally in paint i'd used Valspar Gloss White and used Colorplace(Wal-Mart) Flat White as a primer. I'd let the paint cure and added the decals. I still need to fab a set of motor mounts since i'd ditched the kits front suspension & engine i'd used a Revell 69 Mustang 428 ci engine and a Revell 65 Mustang front axle and now the engine is rocking back and forth.

Shane- It looks like we have our next winner for next years contest. My old tunnel ram intake looks right at home. Keep up the great work i'll be watching this thread like a hawk. I might learn something.

Wes- Welcome to the club im into "The Wraith" movie myself. In fact im building three of the cars from that movie such as: Packard Walsh's Corvette, Maggot's Firebird & Auggie Fisher's Daytona all three of those builds are in the On The Workbench section. And again welcome im looking foward to seeing youre work.

Another i'd started on over the weekend. I'd painted the frame, wheel backs & front suspension with my signature Textured Black paint from Rust-Oleum. Im still deciding on the paint scheme as far as the engine i'll probably use the kits engine and add a tri-power induction system from a Revell 69 Corvette. The wheels came from a Revell 68 Corvette. I'll keep ya'll posted on this one.

Heres another project that i'd started on over the weekend i'd got this in a trade from member KENNEDYJR. At this point im still undecided on how im gonna build this one. Maybe anybody on the forum can give me some ideas or suggestions.

I'd wanted to show off my Woody im about 85 percent finished on this one. The paint is Testors Fiery Orange Metallic and the wood is painted with Valspar Urban Beige which is about close as i can get to wood and used the kits decals for the inserts. The seat is from the kit i'd covered with a Mexican blanket.
-
Another one of my projects i'd wanted to show ya'll its a Revell 68 Mustang GT 2n1 kit. The frame needed some attention by ditching the kits front axle & fuel tank which i'd replaced both parts from a Revell 65 Mustang kit. Im building this one as Don Nicholson's SS/E that he raced back in 1968. Heres the 1:1 pics of Dyno Don's Mustang.
-
I'd recieved three model kits from member KENNEDYJR in the mail yesterday a AMT 62 Bel Air, Revell 67 Chevelle SS & a Revell 68 Dart GSS. It was like getting a Christmas gift in May.

More progress on the 4-4-2 i'd painted my own stripes since the ones from the kit cracked into pieces. I'd used Frogtape to mask off the body except where i'd painted the stripes & under the hood i'd used Fastkolor 6mm tape for the center. This is my first try at this. I'd decided to leave the Torq-Thrust D's all chrome instead of painting the centers gray.
-
More progress i'd painted the wheel centers last night i'd used Testors Gunship Gray and the caps in Chrome Silver and boy this was tedious work thank god for the magnifying glass with the LED light that i'd bought from Harbor Freight for 6 bucks. Now the 330 is on all fours for good.
-
Heres an old project thats 85 percent finished. I'd used the frame from my 70 Super Bee build all of the drivetrain and suspension is all 70 Super Bee which is the same thing. The steelies are from a Revell 64 Chevy Pickup with 64 Plymouth dogdish caps. The paint is Rust-Oleum "Metallic" Copper Metallic paint which looks good.
-
My stepmom found me a Revell 64 Chevy C10 Pickup for a buck from a garage sale and everything is all there i'll have pics of it tomorrow.
