  1. I decided on replicating this one as my brothers co-worker's 1:1 68 Corvette. His has the stock 327 ci with a 4-speed, Deluxe wheel covers im not really sure what Chevrolet called them. What ya'll think. The wheels came from a AMT 70 Impala to replicate the wheels on the 1:1 car i ougha have the pics of the 1:1 car pretty soon to show everyone im not in a rush on this one since i have other builds to work on.
  2. I wanted to bring this Ferrari in a whole new different direction the kits Vette engine is being chucked in favor of a LS-1 engine out of a Revell 99 Camaro. The Camaro engine fits like a glove with no modifications, the kits rear axle was cracked in half so im going with a Dana 60 rear axle out of a Revell 69 Charger as far as the rest goes im still undecided.
  3. I wanted to try something different on this forum by building two 69 Camaros one hardtop & one convertible built in the same fashion. They will both have the same paint scheme, engine, wheels, stance the whole nine yards.
  4. I came across a 70 GTX just like mines on the SA forum so that had my gears turning to commence the construction on my 70 GTX i'd scribed out the kits inner fenderwells in favor of a set from a AMT 69 GTX kit which looks more accurate it was a easy swap except i had to trim the bottom of the fenderwells in order for the frame to fit flush. Im still undecided on how im gonna build it yet.
  5. Lyn- I sent you a PM on a couple of kits youre looking to get rid of your collection or just thinning it out.
  6. My first glue kit was a Monogram 71 Plymouth Barracuda i'd built that one when i was 12. My very first kit was a Monogram 80 Chevy Malibu Police Car Snap kit both kits are long gone.
  7. Spike- I sent you a PM on the wheels youre looking for.
  8. The closest color for the Fall Guy pickup is Dupli-Color Cordova Brown Metallic and the interior is Camel Tan i hope this helps.
  9. I got a Midwest Easy Miter Box and some Tamiya Extra Thin Cement from the LHS today i'd been wanting to get a miter box which will make it easy for me to cut my angles just right.
  10. Heres my 1970 Dodge Challenger that im working on im replicating this one from the 1971 movie "Vanishing Point". Heres a pics of the movie car. The storyline is about a drifter named Kowalski he has to deliver a Alpine White 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T to Colorado to California and that when trouble begins.
  11. Im working on my Revell/Monogram 70 Challenger T/A kit that im converting into a R/T. I'd ordered a hood from Revell from the new 70 Challenger kit i came up with the idea of grafting the R/T hood onto a custom hood. Any Suggestions. Heres both hoods. The one on the left is from the new Revell 70 R/T kit and the one on the right is a optional hood that came with the Revellogram kit. Heres the project im working on.
  12. I see that the Challenger is starting to look good i love the redlines on there nice touch you dont see too many Challengers with redlines on them im working on one myself. Heres my "Vanishing Point" 70 Challenger im working on.
  13. Heres my newest project that i'd bought Saturday i'd found this one at a thrift store i'd scored this one for $2.95 i couldnt go wrong with that the box was banged up but when i'd opened the box everything was still sealed in plastic except for the chrome. So far i'd primed the body, painted the frame with Rust-Oleum "Textured" Black which is now my trademark for frames and other miscellaneous pieces. My plan for this one is: Hugger Orange paint, built mostly OOB with some detailing done & photoecthing kit to bring this droptop. BTW: Sorry for the blurry pics im not too great at photography.
  14. Heres some updates on the VP Challenger i'd finally ordered a hood from Revell which is from the new release kit so now i'd gotta do some modifications to get it to fit right. The frame is completed i'd went with the factory overspray which looks cool on a Mopar. I was debating on the engine it was either a Hemi or a 440 i'd chose the 440 since the Hemi was too wide in the engine bay. What ya'll think.
  15. Heres some updated pics of the Coupe its finally on all fours but i'd still need to add the motor mounts, transmission crossmember & the shock braces. I was originally was gonna go with a Chevy 409 ci it looked out of place i was thinking of going with a 283 or a 327 Chevy, Buick Nailhead or a 361 ci out of a 58 Edsel. The front axle is out of a AMT 40 Willys kit & the rear axle is from a Revell 66 Chevelle Wagon kit. I'd plucked the wheels from a Monogram 55 Chevy Street Machine kit. As far as the paint is concerned i'd havent decided the gray primer is kinda of growing on me. Any Suggestions!
  16. Jared- I'd voted for inca gold i'd find its different because you dont see too many Scouts in gold and also paint the roll cage gold as well and leave the wheels in chrome thats just my opinion.
  17. I'd got back to work on this beast i'd sanded all of the trim to give it that smooth look and also i'd stripped the Z06 wheels i find the chrome plating made the wheels too blingy so they went in the dip tank and painted them with Valspar Silver Metallic. They look so much better painted silver than chrome plated. What ya'll think its too much.
  18. Heres some progress on the Scout i havent worked on this one since March. I stripped off the paint i came across some issues with the body work the putty i'd used started cracking thats what happens when you use spot putty without a catlyst. So im starting all over again im taking my time with this one so im not in a hurry to get it finished i have other projects to work on.
  19. I was going through my parts box last sunday an idea gave me a bump in the head i had a extra 64 Chevy C10 Pickup kit so i said to myself why not build a Gasser pickup since i havent seen any 64 Chevy pickups built as a Gasser on the forums. The front suspension is from a Revell-Monogram 55 Chevy Street Machine and im using the ladder bars from the same kit and now i need to find a rear axle from the parts box im building this one with completely from my parts box so no money spent on this project.
  20. Heres another one of my long, lost projects that i started on 3 years ago i'd just didnt have the courage to work on it since i started doing some progress on it Sunday. What ya'll think.
  21. I'd finally got this baby painted after 6 months on & off doing the body work to get it right i painted with Valspar Gloss Black. And next up is ordering the photoetched kit to bring it out. What ya'll think.
  22. This build has been built 4 different ways so i came up with the idea building this one as a S/S car just like Dick Landy's 68 Charger. The body is a Revell 68 Charger and the rest is a Revell 69 Charger since i'd used the 69 body on the "Bullitt" project that im slowly working on. I painted the body the other day i was just sick of it being in gray primer its now painted with Dupli-Color Storm Gray which looks pretty cool. I even did the factory overspray on the frame im not sure if these S/S cars had that. What ya'll think.
  23. Heres another one of my newest projects that im slowly getting started my plans for this one is: Bronze paint with "Super Bee" C-stripes, 426 ci Hemi engine with a 4-speed, Dogdish wheels , Dana 60 rear axle, Black interior with bucket seats & a pistol-grip shifter. What ya'll think i wanted to go different since i havent seen any bronze metallic Super Bees. The paint im using is Rust-Oleum "Metallic" Copper to replicate the original Bronze Metallic.
  24. Heres another one of my movie car builds im replicaing this one from the movie "Vanishing Point" can also be seen in "Deathproof" but im building mines from "Vanishing Point". I got this one from member Big Gary thanks for the model, good buddy. I'd used the frame from a Revell 70 Plymouth AAR 'Cuda which fits like a glove im going with a 440 ci from a Monogram 70 GTX.
  25. Here she is with fresh paint applied i painted with Dupli-Color Bahama Blue i even got the interior painted now i just need to fix the front axle which im having issues with which i'll have fixed soon.
