Robo , when I hit the link I had to put in my account information and then I saw pictures that I had put in to Dioramas to share with ya'all this morning about the Amoco Station I'm building . Ed Shaver

O K folks what the links are about thanks to lead Sled merc are the construction pictures of an Amoco or Red Crown station depending upon where you reside here in the U S . it's a station the is almost ready to fall down here in richmond virginia aa sit hasn't sold gasoline since 1967. I'll post more pictures as I continue with this project . Ed Shaver

uh , I'm curious as to what motivated A M T or Round 2 or whoever they want to call themselves these days . First whats with the quarter scale box model I found inside the model box? Uh , is this a collector card or something ? The GIANT A M T STICKER, Uh where does it fit? Meanwhile the Box is probably the best darn thing going for the kit , it's indestructible !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I never did build this kit when it first came out as I only built the Fleetline . Overall, it certainly looks very nice . It has both a boot and an Up- top. The same tired custom parts that came on the Fleetline and the hardtop also accompany this issue too. If anyone needs the custom parts , let me know . Ed Shaver

Slowly when I was an employee at Earl Schieb, we were expected to tape and paint ten cars a day . As for metallic colors , what generally happens is thew guy shooting the paint dosen't keep the pain shooken up with in the gun as he is working with the paint . See, the aluminum particles actually will settle in the gum soon after you walk into the booth. The same and even more prone to problems is in Pearls and or Metalflakes too. With todays basecoat - clear coat paint , you really can do a slock job on the base as you sand it out with 1500 paper . The clear coat had better be decent as you don't get a second chance with that . Hey I hope this will help ya ! Ed Shaver

Slowly, the only thing I have ever seen work for a severely "Orange Peeled" paint job is Wet-or -Dry sandpaper uh 1500 and 1800, and then polish! After that is done and touched up, you would then go to MULTIPLE CLEAR COATS. Yeah , a lot of work and lots of time expended here , but that happens even on 1-1 cars too as I was in the body and fender repair business since 1966. Have fun................. Ed Shaver

Ask anyone how many blocks they go through trying to find a rebuild able Ford Flat motor! I know I went through several in my time only to get a phone call from the boys at my local N A P A telling me , "Uh Blocks cracked , it's junk. Now the down side to this is the Chinese. How long before they STEAL this machine and dupe it over there and send us an ATOMIC BOMB? THE IRANIANS, THE KOREANS, THE CUBANS, THE RUSSIANS, THE PALESTINIANS PERHAPS? Greg, the only complaint I have ever had with your magazine is the timeliness of the new issues coming out . The price increase i can deal with as paper , salaries ,and photo services continue to rise . I have said this as nice as I can before , I'm willing to subscribe when the Model Cars Magazine establishes a track record of a timely delivery schedule .Bottom line , if you want my my money Honney , DELIVER ON TIME............... While the Wire wheels would set the tone better for the car , I still favor the old Buick flippers or Cadillac " Sombrero' caps . Ed Shaver

Wes, the only suggestion I have is Aluminum finish AL Clad Lacquer. I understand you can now buy spray cans as I have only seen the airbrush type here in Va. You shoot Tamya Black gloss down first and then , the Alclad . It'ds about the closest thing I have seen to a chrome even though it's a little dark for me . Ed Shaver
