  1. Clay, it has happened to me as well! I was almost breathless and I suffer from Emphazemia too. I wound up taking a hammer to my back and pounding the hell outa myself . Thats how I finally got the chicken to go down enough to where I was finally able to spit the rest up. No man you aint alone , former Wrecker drivers are also prone to the same problems too! Ed Shaver

  13. Marcus ,First, Let me thank you for you're brave service sir . Secondly, mebee it's my old eyes ( I'm 59 ) but the avatar looks certainly more blue or is that an optical illusion? I like you're model none the less, You have done in my opinion a spectacular job on a Ford that certainly needed some improvements . I'm an Early ford club member too. Ed Shaver
  14. AH HA, you want a photo back drop there Eelco, no problem! You engineers alway have to go to such great detail to tell us design folks what ya want . Look I posted a tutorial over at Bluesmans new site that utilizes Foam core . I wont rehash stuff here but the stuff is white , runs about 3,00 a sheet and will "Reflect the light back over the model you are photographing nicely. To glure the boards , use any "White" glue or epoxy. Now if you're going to have exposed edges , I strongly sugest you "Seal" the edges first with either White glue or epoxy. Most primers will attack the foam. You can paint the faces with most any kind of paint . My service stations have used Velvet finish for a Concrete look and Stone for a Stucco look. To reinforce the glued joints use straight pins through the joints . If you need help, please E-mail me . Ed Shaver
  15. Simon, you say that the jewels are aproximately 3mm across? Humm........ see, I build service stations (Petrol stations to you sir) and here in the states back in the early 1930's we had several oil companies that had "Jeweled" globes you would have to see one of these beauties lit up in someones den ! A sight to behold sir ! Can you imagine a metal frame with a Pratts Motor sprit or B P encased within one of these globes ? Trust me the possibilities are endless here . How bout P M ing me as to where I could reach you to perhaps get a sheet of these pieces? Ed Shaver
  16. Chris, P-M me man , I don't understand what the problem you're experencing . I jus was on a few shot hours ago and went out to finish up some copy work I needed to mail out this week . Ed Shaver
  17. O K folks, this means that the metallic red plastic that the I M c kits were molded in weren't too far off the mark especially for the day . I'm going ahead and doing the one I have had plans for since 199'? and do it in a translucent Red with an aluminum top. I can tell ya that the block was Black as were all the hi performance engines from Ford then. You might want to make sure to check that the oil fill cap is in the correct place as the 289's were on the valve covers. All the 260's I ever worked on had the oil fill cap on the front cover . By the way, when I built the fit in 65, the working windows were a might tricky. Ya'all might want to rectify that as well as the door hinges . My feelings about I M C kits were , well mixed. I can say that at least you could assemble this kit . I certainly wouldn't say that about the Ford G T kits, whew............... Ed Shaver
  18. The box is not really a true representation of any shop where I worked . It's way too small for one thing and I can certainly help if you want me to . I don't know exactly where you wish to take this assemblage . tell us where you might want to go with it and maybe I'll have a suggestion . Ed Shaver
