  3. Im floored gentlemen, yes floored. First I hear that Bud Anderson , am an I had coresponded with in the real days of A M T wanting my opinion on what Big truck kit s might sell, now Mr Paeth, Im shocked , speechless, my achiching heart goes out to his family. Am I really this old? Some how , suddenly everyone ive ever had a professional corespondence from is suddenly leaving me on a dusty high way. I havent felt this lonely sinc I was stuck in Benson Arizonia in 1972 for four days with a canteen and fourteen cents to my name. Miles from nowwhere............................ Ed Shaver
  4. I agree with Rob, uh pictures please............................... Yep I remember all REAL cars. Real cars defined by ED shaver in his dictionary are any car measuring at least 18feet in lenth weighing at lesat a ton and must include the REAR END IN THE REAR END , TRANSMISSION MUST BE TOWARDS CENTER and the engine well, its gotta be a V-8! Ed Shaver
  5. Im 58, still onery as hell too. My first model was a gift because Richmond Ford , a dealership in Richmond Virginia was participating in a contest where oyu came in with youre folks and they GAVE YOU a model! Meanwhile there was a contest and I was amazed as to how talented some of these people were considering what we had to work with in those days, its a miricle any thing .got built. Any way, I was given a 1961 Thunderbird convertable. My second model was a 1961 Buick Special station Wagon with some of the greatest accessories I've seen even to this day! I only wish someone at A M T is reading this because seriously, the engine and gasoline cans and the trailer and the Working engine hoist............................ Ed shaver

  7. Jeff, you telll those folks that they have some real talent there! Im likin what I see Ed Shaver
  8. You know, i used to say that if you built a G M body with either a Big block Olds or Cadillac motor ( BEFORE THEIR 4100 TOO ), combined that to a Ford Truck 9 inch rear and mated it to Chrysler 727 automatic you could literally shut down the assembly line there after as there would be no need for any more cars. Dang thing might rust out but wear out? Never!!!! Chrysler cant build a car thart satisfies my need s any way cause they sent their electric als to Mitsubishi for an overhaul, maybe they sent their transmissions too cause they aint woth a ###### either. Their body styles are atractive , but Kool body styles arent worth a ###### when I spend what I have wasted at the dealer trying to find out whats wrong with the com puter on the Chrysler From Hell. Thats O K , Im almost finished with a 1978 Ford Van with NO EMISSIONS, POWERWINDOWS, A / C or the other ###### to burn out!!! Ed Shaver

  11. Returning to 1982, I had moved to Dallas from Houston . AM T had just released their 1961 Ranchero again. This time was different as this one came with a Chevrolet engine. Now, opersonally , i would have prefered a six, but since the hood was open, I figgured I could build something that resembled a Ford six. M P C had also re-released their 1953 Ford Pick-up Flipnose too. I ahd just aquired a 1953 Ford Panel delivery in 1-1. I was stalking about trying to find a Monogram 1955 Panel to convert back to a 53. I also experimented with scratch building gasoline pumps during the same time too. Ed Shaver
