Weeeeell, in the real world, you could build such a vehicle. Its differentand thats what retained my attention. I love the color scheme now..... Uh try unexposed color film to replace youre windows. Thats been the one thing ive used suscessfully over the years to get a " Factory Tint" look to glass. Ed Shaver

Nice wirk sir..... I would 't have used the 348 though. They were really not as popular as some would have you beleive. Actually, they were designated for trucks. I never cared for them because they were so hard on a set of main bearings. Ed Shaver

Course as a former taxi driver , I could report about the seedier sides Ive seen as well. Still, this IS MODEL CARS! Not HOLLYWOOD BLVD NITES! Ha ha and yall thought I was going to be X RATED !!!!!!! Mike I own and have restored a couple of Real 53 Ford trucks. First I dont know why you cant have a car hauler . Ford did offer an extended chassis for the F-300 series. It took the 5 lug one ton Budd wheels and they were powered by either the Big Lincon " E- L Series Flat head s or the new Y block engine that you would see in the Thunderbird. I beleive if you take the pieces from the Model King Racers Wedge, you should be able to make you're dream come true. I might add, very nice art there too. Keep us inquiring minds posted ! Ed Shaver

Totally Kool! EdShaver -
John, I take each kit as a project unto itself. Take for example the 1957 Chevrolet Cameo from A M T . I bought a Jimmy Flintstone body from the local Hobby shop where I live. The body begged me to take the extra time to sand the back of that grille and put it on the truck! I cant help it guys, blame it on Chuck Jordan, he had amajor hand in designing the 1955-57 trucks for G M then. Ed Shaver

Im a freelance writer as well as a professional modelbuilder. I got into modelbuilding as a result of wanting to own certain cars. Still, I enjoy archecture, history, old cameras, old advertising, art exibits and an ocasional baseball outing. Espesially when the Texas Rangers are winning too. Ed Shaver

OUCH! ever had a dragster explode in your face?
Eshaver replied to JAFFA's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Dave, were you working with me when the same thing happened at Capital Garage here in Richmond Virginia? Yeah we had 15 foot ceilings in the place. when Virginia Commonwealth University came over to buy the old place in 1993, the tire mark wa sstill visable on the ceiling! As for the fellow working on the dragster, how did he retain both his hands? Ed Shaver -
