  1. I know several wives that should have seen this story. I personally don't have that problem. . Even when my wife and I were more together than we are today, I always had time for the kids , pets etc. I think it's a case of jealousy myself when the other party spends too much time "Away". Before any marriage can be successful, each half needs to give and I mean give a lot ! Ed Shaver
  2. Bill, Harold ya'all may not know this but the engine was a 260, not a 289. Now to Ford folks that definitely puts the true age at a 63-4 early. Still, why did I M C mold the kit in a metallic red back in 1965 when the kit came out for the first time ? Ed Shaver
  3. Art, somebody should award you a medal of Valor ! Ed Shaver

  9. You know , I shoulddda known that "Ms Nancy Do- Gooder was behind this ole Union 76 Oil scheme! Seems that every time the Greenie weenies wanna do there "clean-Up" , they be pickin on the old car folks like me. That's why I would NOT support Al Gore when he ran fer President. Yep, had to hold my nose for pullin fer George cause Ann Richards said he was no good . listen I, like Michael Savage have said this for years , the Least Government governs best or was that Thomas Jefferson? Hummmmmmmmmmmm ..... Ed Shaver
  10. That's certainly nezs ta me .................................... Ed Shaver
  11. First, I just want to complete the 1946 Amoco station I've been trying to get done for the up coming I P M S show here in Richmond Va. I think in February. Then I need to letter the 1929 Ford Jalopy racer thats supposed to go beside the station . finish lettering the 61 Ranchero sedan Delivery I built finish the milk wagon I built for a scratch built Model T (1917) I built to make it a tractor trailer rig kind of ........... finish doing the research on a 1968 Sunoco station that is going to get torn down here in Richmond Va. Ed Shaver
  12. Well I guess this means that I'm going to have to stop work on the 1946 Amoco Station and do a 68 Sunoco station , and I was just getting the details for the Sunoco for 2010 too. I only hope Ken doesn't do any more neat stuff like the Mustang till then ! Ed S haver
  13. O K kids it IS THE A M T 62 Corvair with all the Styline pieces added. I wish I had one as I actually owned the 1-1 car, lost it in the Flood here in Richmond Va. 1972. Fine automobile too. Always ran except when the flywheel pulley was actin up. Yes, it used a lot of oil but so did all Chevrolet Sixes too. They are like Detroit Diesel engines , they use oil. Listen sand the iomperfections and re-paint the piece, to me , it's priceless as A M T WAS SOMEBODY THEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ed Shaver
  14. Terry, Ken has always "impressed" me with his endless supply of talent . I guess thats that North Carolina Livin they got down thar! Ed shaver

  18. Sounds like extortion to me ................................ Merry Christmas to ya'all Ed Shaver
  19. Uh my two cents added here ............. Primers actually HELP ADHESION kids !!!!!!!!!!!! Yes , they really do. Look, I've been in the body and fender repair business since 1966. Course Ive also been towing cars and trucks too since that time but thats another tale too. I pretty much taught myself how to do work on a 61 Chevrolet Bel-Air. I've seen so many time where paints lifted as a result of improper sanding or the fact that paints were applied directly over bare stock too. Look gang , take a moment and Prime . Merry Christmas to ya'all -Ed Shaver
  20. Kevin , over the hill hippy speaking here . Look, I lost ALL of my collection in a hurricane during the summer of 72. It all went down the James River to the Atlantic Ocean. There were only two models that remained , a 64 Galaxy ht my brother and I built together and a highly customized 61 Ranchero that I built and gave to my grandmother . Years later I did the unthinkable and kind of helped the Ranchero out by re doing the body work and a repaint . Meanwhile , the Galaxy is still original . It's the only reminder of my childhood modeling days too . Leave well enough alone man, let the Lincoln stay as a reminder to you're youth. Ed Shaver
  21. Scott, this isn't as new as you may think it is . Years ago when I was working in Phoenix Arizona, I saw this stuff going on fairly regularly.Kids would regularly dispose of a car by driving out to the edge of the city and just setting fire to it . Meanwhile in Houston, seems that cars were driven out to the Bayou and disposed of . Yeah, it's a pain in the ass least for me as I was the one that had to haul the mess to an Impound lot and babysit it for thirty days too. Yep, life of a wrecker driver .................. Ed Shaver
  22. This place is like a higher place of learning , wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks Ed Shaver
  23. Dave I am a fan of the Silver Streak Pontiacs myself . thank you for sharing the pictures with us . I will have to post the pictures of my L'Universalle Van sometime for you . Ed Shaver.
