  1. I noticed: * 1/24 scale on what appears to be the actual box art. I would trust that before the description on their webpage. * 100+ parts, including new parts!! * Skill level 4 * “1979” and not 1980 or 1981. I would say all indicators point to the “79 kit and not the snapper, which is great IMO. I’m excited about this one. With what’s available in the aftermarket now, you can build it in almost any color combination and with any wheel option.
  2. Also looking for evidence that it is the 1/12 kit. Although, I don’t think we saw the 1/25 kit in z/28 trim that was also a 3 in 1 kit, unless I am forgetting a release. Great if it’s the big kit, but I am just wondering when we will see the big Corvette kit again. We’ve seen several iterations of the big Camaro since the last rerelease of the big Corvette. Also interested in what decal options we are going to get in the 79 Camaro kit. Hopefully they do what they did with the 85 Camaro kit, and put in nearly every decal color option.
  3. Thanks!! IIRC, it was just flat paint topped with Fun Flock off of EBay,
  4. Thanks everyone! Thanks! That was a super rare color option, the blue with the gold. I think I only ever saw one like that up until I was researching colors for the build.
  5. Thanks everyone!
  6. Three of them complete this year, which means I was building at blazing lightning fast mach 10 speed for me. 1/12 COPO Camaro 1989 Turbo Trans Am Pace Car 85 Camaro Z28
  7. Someone named Thomas Cadrette supplied the wheels. I am not sure if he is making them anymore. The customer got them from Tom and forwarded them to me, so I don`t know much about him.
  8. Thanks for the kind words everyone!
  9. I built this using both the 1/12 69 Camaro and the 1/12 `67 Corvette kits, along with some resin parts from Tom Cadrette. The wheels pop off so you can display it with either the rallye wheels or the dog dish caps. The dash was modified to be a radio delete optioned car.
  10. Given that, I hope we get some nice z28 decal options this time around. Would be nice to see a light green set, and maybe have the orange and red set from years ago.
  11. Any talk of a Hellcat from their Charger kit yet?
  12. Thanks vamach1! Is it just me, or does that look almost exactly like GM Elkhart Green Metallic that you see on a lot of Corvettes of that era?
  13. What color is that????
  14. Lol. I’m still waiting for mine to get the Charger kit in. The one gripe I have with them.
  15. Thanks guys!
  16. Thanks! Yeah, I wouldn’t have known about it had I not stumbled on a thread on an Fbody forum that had a few pics of the combination. I have never seen it in real life though, as far as I know.
  17. Yep! And in three color options!
  18. Thanks guys! The decals that come with the kit allow for almost any color combination. I think there were 5 sets of stripes in there. I went with the very rare Navy and Gold color scheme.
  19. The new kit with the blue and silver z28 on the front. I picked it up at hobby lobby during a 40% off sale to build between commissioned projects. Only mods were the ignition wires, heater hoses, tire decals, and adding aluminum tubing as spacers to push the wheels out a few scale inches. Nice simple kit.
  20. Thanks for the replies everyone! I got the blue bottle above and it seems to be behaving just like the black bottle I was using. It even smells similar! Thanks again!
  21. Has anyone found a real substitute for this? This stuff was great, and was my go-to for probably decades. It would set quickly, but would give you a couple minutes to adjust the parts if needed. The ones with the red label in the black bottles are not the same...longer to set, etc. The tubes, forget about it. I am not wanting to resort to CA glue because of the risk of haze. And the Tamiya cement in the clear bottle with the green label works by a different process and has ZERO set time (must hold the parts together and apply glue). Thanks for any help.
  22. What is you experience with durability for Molotov markers for parts that don’t get handled, like engine or interior pieces? How do they look after a few years or so?
  23. They look so real! Very nice! Where do you get "hobby shop little bolts"? Do you happen to remember the sizes? Thanks.
  24. Thanks guys!
