The wheels I just sent you have hubcaps in the pack. I had these two years and never saw them because they are clear, crystal clear.... I've never seen clear hubcaps! The 1/24 ones I'm making for my Monogram bee won't need hubcaps so I'm good by default. If I needed them, I would have probably got modelhaus' repops of the ones for the JoHan 68 Fury Po-Lee rig. Those would look cool on a monogram superbird or something like that.

I sent the ones you wanted out today. I bought them, then didn't really like them, I wanted just plain old "steelies" and they don't have them for 1/24. So I'm making my own: Direct drop-ins for monogram's oddball 1/24 scale tires. I'll get a better mold so the casting is a lot cleaner, then that's it. I wanted these for my 69 superbee from Monogram and don't want to use the kit's 500's.

Anyone Knows Tkm Models
Ayatollah replied to tooltime-fan's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
If it's uncured resin and it's oozing..... how are you gonna build that? That's not even chemically stable enough to use as a starting point. You would be ahead to just scratchbuild something if you are willing to sign up for a 650-hour project! You would think that having been at it so long he would be a pro by now. Maybe he doesn't want to be one! Maybe he wants to be famous as being the absolute worst caster, if so it's working. On any of the boards, there is a topic like this at any given time. It's sad in a way because he's probably capable of producing a decent master, but casting it in candle wax and beard hairs ruins any chance of someone giving him credit for his master. -
Anyone Knows Tkm Models
Ayatollah replied to tooltime-fan's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Maybe it's like a really bad car wreck, people buy just one so they can see just how nasty they are. Guy sends his $45 to mr Mills saying to himself "I just HAVE to see this first hand. How bad can it REALLY be?". Somehow, he sells them. Those chassis plates chopped off of an old A/C duct with a tomahawk are just classic in my book! -
Junkers are a good break from the routine.

There's a lot of backwards (and I do mean really screwed-up) psychology going on that helps FeeBay make big bucks. The guy is fartin around on there chugging a few beers and spots a kit he likes and convinces himself he's getting it for next to zip. I'm not talking about shills, which is a huge plague itself. After a few people bid, Bubba has had enough (not enough beer though) and sets his max at $200, then $300. He just isn't going to lose. he probably cant even afford it, let alone build it but he's the aplha male. It doesn't mean the kits is that rare, it just means you have to wait for another one, preferably one that ends at 2am Tuesday . A lot of the big kits are $50+ shipping, so if theyre out of production I can see $80-$100 but some of these cretins think they have atomic numero 238! I gotta go, I'm NOT being outbid on that mint MISB Fantasy island Volare Wagon

Those mags look like some of the resin guys pirated them off each other a dozen times! Might be a nice builder though. Especially stock or nearly stock. Thanks for posting the pics.

Source for budd hole wheels?
Ayatollah replied to asterisk's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Thanks for everyone that helped me find the stuff. I was contemplating asking on the "other" forum but it's so dead. Mainly just lowered S-10 related malarkey. Kitform stuff is superb and they are very well organized. Plaskit did indeed e-mail me a super nice Excel catalog and I am getting some stuff from them, probably much more than I planned on. I like AITM too. If I can stay halfway healthy I'm going to do a truck or two and haven't done one since BJ and the bear rig came out. Thanks again! -
Tyrone Malone stuff will always bring big money, and those prices arent bad at all. If I needed another Tyrone Malone, I would be willing to pay up to $200 for it. I don't though. I recently got: Ertl Mack Cement mixer, $16 missing half the wheels (unstarted though), AMT Sonny Pruitt Truck $40 F/S, Ertl Gravel Trailers 1 was $30, the other $6 (glue bomb), "Can Do" Wrecker $80 Opened and mint. There are a lot of people on EBay that just have to be the winning bidder even if they can't afford it, they will drive stuff up sometimes. Or shill bidders. I depends on how bad you have to have something. The big rig kits are going up, especially if they end on the weekend. I saw the AMT Ford 9000 single drive box truck at Wal Mart for $20 and should have picked that up. It's gone now and any truck kit for under about $40 is a steal.

Glad to see you got that cake with the hacksaw blade in it that I sent you! Keep up the cool stuff. I really like the second round of 69 Olds photos, the colors are great and the concrete sets up for a great horizontal plane. Oh, and your yard is green! We dont have green yards here, everything is on fire. Love your work, the wagon is definitely thinking outside of the box.

Bench seat for 70-72 Chevelles?
Ayatollah replied to chevellekid's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
If you're really in pinch, use some clear aquarium caulk and make a thin mold of the backseat, a couple of thin 1/4" coats letting it dry thorouhly, it will get you by. Cast your duplicate of the backseat and modify THAT into a front bench. The silicone obviously not the first choice of resin casters, but it's $2.00 and beats buying $30 worth of materials to do a backseat. It may help to put a very light coat of vegetable oil onto the backaseat first, but I've done without it. If your benchseat comes out really well, you can make a couple copies of that for future projects. I've done quite a few that way. -
Source for budd hole wheels?
Ayatollah replied to asterisk's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I am also to search of 1/25 class 8 wheels, but would like something in the US. I need Budd 2 holes, 5 holes, and old Super spyders, anyone here in the US that I can order from? Spaulding says they don't have anything yet, AITM... same thing. I've found about 10 shut-down website links for 1/25 truck stuff. -
Yes, I BEG you, please, no bling! It looks so good. Steelies, or even era-correct mags..... but the bling would kill it!

I have some stuff the son sold me and the quality is nice and he will ship it promptly every time. I would buy from him again. He make a nice up-top for 69 Chevelle/Olds/Skylark and a lot of other stuff. it's all good from what I've seen and he answers emails and the whole 9 yards.
