  1. that really sucks im gonna go ahead and keep you on the list, just in case you find a few spare days somewhere who knows
  2. well, first off, i shoot usualy at about 45 PSI other then that. would it be a good idea to go with this scenario: grey primer silver base coat pearl top coat clear coat polish treehugger, you mention sanding every time you mention a primer thats what i was referring to when i asked about the sanding, what grit do you use there ? or is it like you said later, only to fix imperfections ?
  3. if you really want to get inspired dig up some info on a car called the "F-bomb" it is a F body (duh) camaro with two turbos pushing over 1500 horsepower that is over fifteenhundred horsepower there is a miposter version of that car in the new F&F movie popping wheelies on the dirt as for your carb question i would say give each turbo its own intercooler and then feed the cooled air into a single carb (so basically set it up as if you have 2 4 bangers)
  4. i got the rear end and tranny in today but i cant do anythign untill i get the mill well i guess i could work on the cab at any rate , no progress
  5. how fine do you sand in between the different coats ?
  6. i wonder if anybody'd think i flipped if i went to LA via omaha ? still, i would need to buy SOO many kits, just to ofset the fuel costs wouldnt be worth it bro
  7. just make sure you slap some extra air in that passenger rear slick there buddy
  8. well guys, i bought my very first can of pearl paint (its going on the 56 ford) and i am not sure on how to shoot this (airbrush it obviously) now, here are my questions, do i need a special primer ? once primered, do i need a base coat or do i just slap it right on the primer ? once i have the pearl paint on, do i need a special clear or do i just use what i always use ? in case it mathers, the paint in question is model masters acryl 4657 true blue pearl
  9. well first things first, if you are putting a turbo on a V engine it is probably best to put two turbos on it so that both banks have the same exhaust restriction now having said that, i think kustommodels has build a few turbos so he might be able to help you better but i would say, just google turbo and go from there i think solder would work best and keep im mind that in order to run, say 20 PSI you need a intercooler in between the turbo and the intake manifold
  10. nice catch the 30% of went to my nephews birthday present, hes been wanting a revell snaptite 69 camaro Z28 SS (something about a transformer) the 40% of went to my first kids first photoalbum (well know in 6 weeks if its a boy or girl)
  11. that sure is a great looking start there are soo many different variations of the cuda on here but i dont think ive ever seen one with that intake setup looks good when you wire it up, keep in mind that the hemi has the plug wires go through the valve covers
  12. well, most places would call it flocking if im not mistaken you should be able to find it n any LHS or on ebay
  13. one word (or two denpending on how you look at it) paintbrush alls you need is a brush and a steady hand thats how i added the gold accents to these rims
  14. depends on the body of the car if it stays white i would go with gold rims or better yet, gold rims but with a chrome lip
  15. there ya go man save the whales that thing looks awesome allready those rear rims must be 12 inches wide almost looks like a caricature
  16. you get a free test and tune at the thunder alley dragstrip so finish up that porsche and bring some rubber to smoke deadline is october 2nd which leaves about 6 weeks to build it ive build cars in less then that though never as heavily modified as this puppy so if you want in we got open spots
  17. hey guys got some work done on the alley today it looks like all that is left to do is finish up the tree and maybe slap some tire rub markings on the far retaining wall i also want to ad a calling card from my LHS to the fence as another billboard
  18. allright guys i got some work done on the RSX today it is no where near but at least it is looking like a car now we still got a long way to and a short time to get there but were gonna do wht they say cant be done (name that movie) at any rate i got a chance to take her down to the thunder alley to do some track testing
  19. looks great but if i could make suggestion i would bring the rear wheels out a little further so that the rear track widht is AT LEAST equal to the front , if not wider (assuming you cant bring the front wheels in because of the engine)
  20. hate to tell you this but i think that was posted about 14 pages back
  21. this one is too much of a nascar look this one is too much of a camaro IROC look this one is the best of the three in my opinion but like you said it does look a lot like a RR
  22. that looks pretty spiffy there my only suggestion would have been (seeing how its done now) to extend the rear fenders to match the skirts, they seem a bit wider then the back of the car still, very nice skirt
  23. i use screen doors for big front bumpers but side grilles i do not know
