i object in all my 21 years of living in the netherlands not once have i heard anyone ever refer to albert heijn as AH other then that, interesting -
welcome aboard that certainly is a nice model i have one in my tash somewhere also, the carpetting looks great
-
it seems to me that different type of base coats are perfectly compatible with different types of clear IF you allow the base coat to dry properly i usually let it cure for a week or two and spray on whatever clear i have never onces orange peeled on me
-
i suggest you change the titel to "lowace"
-
id say a jaguar ANY jaguar build to racing specs should be the traditional british racing green i know, it your car and therefore it is your choice but i think it just looks right in british racing green (no i do not get paid to say british racing green)
-
love the diamond plate bedliner and the way it is sitting just a hair lower on the rear makes it look like it is taking of very nice
-
nice job on the rear that should lay the body down nicely on the rims you know, you might be able to do the same on the front, kinda like the way they would just flip the front axle upside down on the old fords
-
that colour is a pretty good looking match and i love the rims on the 1:1 they are perfect for that car
-
why not make it a lowrider and jsut slap 13 inch lawnmower wheels on it ? that should drop her right down, no suspension mods needed
-
i bought mine on ebay it is basically electrical wire so it does have the metal inside (i stripped it to fit in the distributor) and it wil hold any form you give it it is advertised as being 22 gauge and i guess ill take thier word for it it is sold as a set of 6 little coils, totaling 100 foot i am not sure about board regulations on ebay links so i will PM you one instead of putting it in here best part is....i paid $3.50 for it shipped to my door (i figured for that price it was worth a shot) my only regret is that it does not come in black, but then again, i didnt specifically asked for black so who knows
-
looking good seems like you ave plenty of ideas , hope it all comes long nice which reminds me, i should work on mine
-
lol, now i get it that was a mere typo the 1/8th tube does take 8 wires (no coil wire yet, i might ad it laterkeep in mind this is only my 4th model with wires) funny thing is first time i made that dizzy i had it all glued into place , painted and everything when i noticed it only had 7 wires at any rate im stuck in philly for the day so im hoping to get the body nice and smooth today
-
both of them look impressive and have certain things i like the TWR has the accented air intakes and the factory has the black headlights if it were my car i would go with a base of british racing green (a must on this car IMHO) with maybe a silver accent to the air intakes, almost like the yellow on the TWR but not as wide so that is "dead ends" into the actual inlet then i would paint the headlight housing silver (where the factory version is black) finally i would ad a dab of silver to the front splitter (black on both cars) also, if my car would have the TWR bumper with the canards on it those would be silver aswell regardless of which bumper is used i would fill in the upper grille (between the foglights) and smooth it all out like it never was there i think it would give the car a much more agressive look (it also opens up posibilities to widen the bottom grille) lastly, the silver accents can be painted any colour you like of course, but i would accent those parts
-
that is a V8 underneath the heads it has 4 cylindrs on each side it also has 4 plugwires and 4 exhaust ports per bank (you can count the plugwires) i think you might be looking at the little lines that run vetically down the blowerhousing (the ones i painted blue) and mistaking those for plug wires maybe ?
-
the first one looks absolutly great dont get me wrong, the other two are sweet aswell but that first on rocks
-
thanks it seems period correct to put some weight on the rear end and it was the wifeys choice so i pretty much had too as for the wires, lets just say they're the 8 MM magstars like i had on my cougar
-
i think the only real odball in this build off is david thibodeau...he build a drifter that was a kit that was a dedicated drifter
-
finally got some work done on her again the powerplant ( nowhere near done but getting there) its a ford 427 CI with a blower on it (thanks MikeMC) the valve covers are the custom ones from the kit the wires are 22# beading wire ( i have some 32# but i dont have a drill for it and this looks good to me) the distributor is a peice of 1/8th tubing drilled out to accept all 6 wires im still up in the air on what to do for exhaust, the stock ones wont fit, the ones that came with the engine wont clear the inner fenders and i have none in my partsbox that do stay tuned for some bad scratchbuilding as always header donations are welcomed and apreciated
-
dont know how you snuck by without me noticing it ill change yor entry to thise one that is jsut what this build off was missing, some british racing green
-
thats a nice photosoup you got there it would look great if the real paint job comes out like that any word on the engine ?
-
people who claim the camaro is bumblebee are exactly the same as people who claim the BMW-build mini is a mini but thats a whole nother can of worms lets just say your trying to replicate a movie car and you picked a nice one at that just not bumblebee carry on
-
if you really want to do it right you build him as a volkswagen bug thats what the first bumblebee was having said that , ive contemplated building this very model, the beat up camaro with the build engine in it but i just have too many projects going as is

i have for the longest time consider installing linoleum or laminate flooring in my hobby room just to see the parts i dropped but this might work better who knows, i might be loosing my room soon enough
