  1. Thanks for the info, I haven't tried sand yet and the tubing is K&S from the LHS. Robert
  2. Need a little help, I'm trying to bend some 3/16" aluminum tubing for set of header collectors. I've tried gently bending it by hand, the spring benders that slide over the tubing and inserting silver solder that just fits inside the tubing, so far they all have left kinks or not able to bend a tight enough radius, I'd like to get down to 1/4". Anyone have any success with this? Thanks, Robert
  3. Hey, Thanks Chuck, one of the last pieces I needed to be able to finish a car for a client. Robert
  4. Hey Chuck, All of your rats are interesting to say the least, cutting the Corvair in half is great, now I have to build a 6 cylinder along that line, was wondering if you remembered where the headers for the 32 Chevy came from. Thanks, Robert
  5. Hey Lownslow, I'm looking for one that has a Maltese Cross style center, have you seen or made any like that? And if so will you part with one? Robert
  6. I quess I'm in the addicted to plastic, collector/hoarder/builder catagory. The collection was over 5,000 several years ago and I stopped counting. I've been buiding models since I was 9 and I'm pushing 61 hard. The habit has been on and off again as family andf life dictated but I've always been a builder, model cars, trains, motorcycles, street rods and dragsters. Physical restraints are coming on my ability to do the full size stuff and the models have taken priority again, but I really like to stay busy with my hands, but look on the bright side, with this many kits I'll get to live to Mathusela's age to build the ones I want!
  7. Thanks for the info, just my luck, my collection starts at #8. Yeah the article is great, I'm already sorting through the car mags for detail shots to start my build. Robert
  8. Hey guys, I was looking at the new issue and the article by Bill Coulter building the Nova and was wondering if he had done an article on the AMT Nova in the last two pictures. I bought a 70 new,350/stick(floor shift), gunmetal gray metalic, black interior, posi and rally wheels, $2600, but I digress (he said with a glazed look in his eyes remembering his ill spent youth). Does anyone know if there is another article? Robert
