  1. I had the same experience with the lizard, insurance with a mutual company for years and tried to add a dune buggy back on our policy. Was informed they no longer offered that kind of coverage, so I went shopping, now my insurance is less than half of what I was paying. Just had an accident in my truck and they handled everything better than any other time we've had to use our policy. I couldn't be happier with the company.
  2. Hey Harry, Just picked up a copy of "The Sizzlin' 60's", it's great, you and Bill hit one out of the park with this. Robert
  3. I like the first and third, although I am partial to the 5 spokes.
  4. After 41 years of wedded "Bliss" the only thing I can come up with is Love, back then it was more likely lust, which got us together in the first place, and common interests. Car shows, just about any kind of auto racing, taking trips to places we've seen on TV, just got back from Las Vegas where we visited Pawn Stars and Counting Cars, riding on a motorcycle or in the dune buggy, going to the beach, our kids, grown now but still close, our grand kids, always a source of entertainment and delight, and each other. We've been retired for a while now and still haven't gotten tired of each other.
  5. Just so you know, some of us (not me) enjoy a good swim in the snow.
  6. Jim, I thought the one you bought was blue. Did you get it repainted or am I thinking of someone else? I just picked up a stinger for my buggy too, really like the way they sound.
  7. Dwight, we have similar afflictions. My 55 is in pieces for a rebuild and living in Florida there's always something to do outside just about any time of year. The "oohhh! shiney!" is also a constant companion.
  8. A craft store that carries beading supplies will have small diameter colored wire in packs, I bought mine at Michaels, about 3 bucks for a dozen rolls of different colors. Pieces of this can be used as piping, just cut a short piece and bend to fit, attach with clear nail polish or superglue.
  9. Skip's point about this being a world economy and there's nothing we can do about it is correct, but I doubt affordability was the driving concern to moving their product line to China. If that were true, they would have lowered their prices when they moved making them more affordable. It was all about the dollar and being able to keep a larger portion for themselves, which in itself is not wrong, just good business. Too bad they picked the wrong country to outsource too.
  10. Sorry, no sympathy for any American manufacturer that out sources to China and gets reamed in the process. People wonder why our economy is so bad, this is a big part of it, no worries about what happens when you want to move assets out of your control to a country infamous for piracy of anything that will hurt the American economy. Man, stuff like this really burns my buns!
  11. Just move the springs to the inside of the frame rails, that's what I did to my 1:1 before going to trailing arms and coil overs.
  12. Why keep both suspension systems? Don't the airbags eliminate the need for springs of any kind? Front or rear.
  13. Here's Mark's pics. Mark, these will stay here as long as you don't move them to another folder and break the links.
  14. Which ones do you want shown?

  18. I want to build a copy of my son's cobra,I'll use them then.
