  1. When my kits out grew our house (my wife's estimation), we built a 24' x 40' garage with a barn style roof and an up stairs (16' x 40' open) for storage. That area is now full and there are rows of cases 3 deep x 3 high across the rear of the garage under the stairs. No matter how much room we have, we grow to our environment, more space, more stuff, whatever it is.
  2. Hey Jason, The detail work looks fantastic, first time I've seen e-brake cables that look correct. Is this being built as a street car or drag car? The reason I ask is the placement of the sump on the fuel tank. If this is a street car it may be OK, but if it's a drag car it needs to be turned around and moved further back on the tank. This is a tank from a Camaro that has had a sump added. Robert
  3. I think any of the 340s would work, isn't that the same block, dimension wise?
  4. That is a work of art! Best looking 6 pack engine I've seen.
  5. I built that kit a couple of months ago and loved it, takes you back to simpler time and relaxes you (or it did me). It's the old "Lil Deuce" with some of the good parts replaced over the years of reissue. The one piece frame and fenders are bothersome but that's the way it was back when this kit was produced. You did a great job removing the fenders, looks like a completely different car.
  6. Ok, now you have our attention, what's he asking for the Ford?
  7. Very nice. I thought asphalt cars usually ran on slicks, not treaded tires?
  8. Yep, that's where I got mine, but you do have to pony up and buy a 1000 in each size at a time in these smaller sizes, none are available in small quantities, at least from where I purchased mine.
  9. I just looked at a buy it now for $75, and one that is being bid on for $49. They're at Hobby Lobby now too, if they're selling for $75, with the coupon you can get it for $45.
  10. The ones in the parts pack are similar to what I have available, but I also offer 4 different lengths, for a much more reasonable cost.
  11. Well. I'm old and slow. What my 55 used to look like.
  12. Those look like Chevy rally wheels, one is a front, the spindle sticking through and the other is a rear, flat center.
  13. I guess I'm going to have to declare war on the furry population of my neighborhood. Went out ot the work bench for the first time since last week and found that one of the little devils had decided to take a wiz right in the middle of my work area. Now everything I was working had to be washed and the glass plate cleaned to boot, found an opening in the soffit on the back of the garage where the little buggers had pried their way in, fixed that, now I've got the large traps out for good measure. I'll have to remember to wear something besides flip flops out to work in the garage, I really don't want to step on one of those things.
  14. There's occasionally a 32 roadster pu on e-bay by a guy called old man down the road.
  15. Got a new company truck in 2010 (Ford E150), put 110,000 miles on it before it needed brakes or tires.
  16. Sounds like a good break-in run in the new Buggy!
  17. I doubt he'll ever collect a dime off the auction, there's probably a bunch of morons playing a game bidding the price up.
  18. Definitely body color on the wheels if you're going for a factory stock look, otherwise you can do whatever color you want (which is the case anyway since it's your car).
  19. Yeah, I saw the video too and plan on giving it a try. The problem I have with my BMF is the adhesive, when I pull the trimmed pieces off they leave their adhesive on the body and it's a pain to get off. Using white glue and tin foil, the glue comes off with water. It might take a little longer but is so much easier to clean up. Robert
  20. Wouldn't annealing the aluminum make it easier to work with?
  21. WOW! those are some expensive engines and the it almost doubles with shipping.
  22. That's exactly what I do to post pics, and I have Windows 8, set up must be different somewhere. Oh! Nice cars too.
  23. Digging through a bunch of sports car models I need to get rid of, I found this in a box of resin bodies, don't know who made it. In the box is 2 sets of wheels and tires, a motor, body and glass, chassis plate, interior plate with head and a set of bearings. I haven't gotten any response in the trade section so I thought I'd try here. If anyone is interested, I'm looking for detail parts and photo etch kits for muscle cars.
