  1. I threw some decals on it to break up all of that blue. I also started to mount the bumpers and then I noticed the huge seam across the corner and had to sand that out and then strip the chrome. I hope to Alclad them later today. So all that is left is to mount the bumpers, injector stacks, and dashboard and we'll stick a fork in this one and call it medium well!
  2. Jessie, I thinking the same way except I can't figure out where to make the break. I think maybe with the chrome trim and bumpers it won't look so plain. Thanks for the kind words from the rest of you, it means a lot!
  3. Dude, you are killing me! Your stuff is so cool it makes me want to add more detail to mine. I hope to get to your level one day, this things is excellent!
  4. I finally got some paint on her! I was going to do a darker blue, but I thought this looked a little more "50's". I got the color idea from Mickey Thompson's streamliner. I have to sand some dirt out but she should be wrapping up soon.
  5. Craig, we get a few hundred entries and sell about 50 vendor tables.
  6. New posts for your enjoyment!
  7. That one is on my to do list, Great Job!!!
  8. More, more, more! Tulio, thanks for the tip, I'm either chopping the water inlet off one of the intakes or making a two into one set up for the radiator, more on that later. Some things I'm waiting until the body is mounted to avoid having to redo them. I mounted the chassis to the floorpan and drilled holes to mount the windshield. I also scratch built a grille and the body work is done. I finished and painted the dashboard, I mocked it up for these photos. This is how she will sit, I'm thinking maybe paint tonight.
  9. Okey-Dokey! Here we go again with more work on the ol' 'Stang. I finished the interior, these cold days are a godsend for modelers. It's the stock '68 interior with the '10 Shelby seats. I added the Cobra Jet roll bar, folded down the back seat, added decals to all of the gauges and the shift pattern on the knob. I dull coated all of the chrome trim and then spent this morning adding Detail Master 5 point harnesses. They are a bit of a challenge. After I finished I noticed the shoulder belt adjustment is backwards, oh well! The funky green color will make sense after I paint the body. Now on to the final touches on the body and then paint!
  10. Wow! That's like written in English; but it ain't!
  11. I'm diggin' it! Looks great to me!
  12. More! In It For the Long Haul
  13. What, a state and a half, maybe 2 states away? That's an easy drive, maybe 6 hours or so one way to attend a 2 hour meeting . Thanks for the complement, just trying to keep in interesting and fun!
  14. Lookin' good, Dann!
  15. Let's just say she ain't as stock as she looks! Since I am covering most of it up I didn't spent a lot of time on the areas you wont be able to see.
  16. A very cool car to replicate!
  17. OK, more work on the BattleFord! Fuel injection is plumbed, what a, well let's just say it was a "challenge". I assembled the motor a little more, but I'm saving the injector stacks until last so I don't have to reglue them 100 times. I also made a grille with an air slot, I have a little finish work to do on that. I was going to use a Detail Master magneto like I have in the past, but it looked ridiculously huge on the motor so I had to scratch build one out of aluminum tube. It was pretty easy, actually. I may do the dash, windshield and seat belt tomorrow. I decided not to build headers, 'cause I just didn't want to, so the exhaust manifolds are just going to have to do. Here's the photos:
  18. In the year of our Lord, 2014, in the city of Columbus, in the shire of the Southwest, on the Harrisburg Pike road, at the number 628, on the second day of the month of the first moon phase, named for the god Janus, there will be a gathering of craftsmen who are masters of the skill of creating models of automotive delight. You are invited to enjoy the company of these fine men and they will share the secrets of their craft. They will share the fruits of their labor, share the skills of the masters, and enjoy a level of revelry before unknown to mortal men. The dwelling where they meet is a raceway named Speedy-O, with the Irishman Mark, son of Hara, the proprietor. The meeting will commence at the hour of 7 and one half in the evening. Come and celebrate the new year with these men of fine character.
  19. I am waay diggin' this one!! I build the Mustangs, Merkurs, & Cougars, but these Chevys are cool. I'll use your builds as some reference to update some of mine. Great Job!!
  20. The fuel injection manifold is built, I still have to put the fuel lines and injector stacks on, the interior is painted. I'll probably finish the motor tomorrow. The body work is almost done, I need to build a grille yet. Here's some photos:
