  11. WOW, a KrenKar, I want one of those KrenKars! I like the grill treatment, I might break down and try to do a grill. You are the master of PE grlls!
  12. I did not use the motor because I glued the hood closed! This was just a quickie for a look only
  13. Rims are from Revell 32 Fords (pick your version) Yes Lyle I am going to build a 69. I have a mint 69 AMT El Camino just waiting for my brother to mix the paint and I will be ready to start. I hope it doesn't take as long to build as the real one!
  14. Man, I miss you guy's and you always eat soooooo good!
  15. I used the GoodGuys T-Bucket for all the repairs. It's the same kit but, from what I understand it does not have all the org. parts. I used new chrome pieces only to replace broken chrome. I did use new Glass and the top which was missing. I sanded the tires and cleaned everything. Who ever built this was a clean builder not much glue so I quess it was a adult. I really wanted to keep it as a vintage build not a total redo.
  16. Here is a old one. Slammer no motor. enjoy!
  17. Just what I need another project! HaHa. got the wheels, hood and THE RAKE!
  18. This was a old build up I bought from Dave Toups. He sold it to me with the agreement that I would just put it back together. I did buy the newer issue for some parts that were broken. I tried to use everything that was still useable. I also tried not to over do it with detail to ruin it's old feel. Here is what it looked like when I started and now......... enjoy!
  19. Were at around 18,000.00 so far including the price of the car. We hope to finish under 25,000.00. Thats with us doing all the labor. The little things really add up. If we were to do it over we should have put wheels and tires and just drove it for a few years! We just fired up the motor this past weekend so I should have some video this weekend on you tube to watch! We sanded the complete car this weekend again and laid a few more coats of primer again. So were ready for the final plock sanding before some color.
  20. thanks! Looks like it will be 69 Corvette blue with a white SS396 stripe. We made a 69 SS clone out of it. Hopefully later on we can buy a big block for it.
  21. This saturday after 5 years we will be starting our motor. The frame is now a roller and mostly complete. We are on the 3rd guide coat of primer on the body and hope to paint before the end of the year! I am ready to bang a few gears! Here is the main body in wet 3rd coat of primer this is all good metal, just a very thin coat of bondo to even things out enjoy!
  22. I wanted to do something different in the inside so I made a cover for the backseat and rear out of styrene and half round strips. 4 each row, 2 rows total. I also drilled out the Revell Impala dash for gauges Here is a few shots of it in the car but its hard to see enjoy!
  23. Looking good. I love Charlie Allen's car. I am building a slot car using his body. I am still mocking it up. I was wondering if your using slix decals and how were you going to handle the hood decal with the scoops. I am thinking about matching the decal, paint the scoops red and cut ovals on the decal sheet so I can lay the hood decal flat. Any ideas? Thanks!
