  1. Was going thru my fotki album and I am not sure if I ever posted my 48 Ford. I used a "Perry's resin" body on the Monogram errrrr Revell 48 Ford conv. It was after We moved and I did not have my stuff set up so it was a raddle can special. I did my weathered look by spraying red primer then flat black. Sanding with a polishing kit to sand thru a few spots and rubbing out the pant with polish for a patina look. Added wheels and tires from the 32 Ford. lowered with the patent pending "ARTERAKE" Engine has the motor city hot rod parts from the flathead with aluminum exhaust tips. enjoy! Visit My Website
  2. Thanks! I have 12 chassis and I make bodys to fit a few and I have a few made that I swap by painting and detailing bodys for a friend instead of exchanging money. I just have to add motor and gears
  3. Hey Tom, Glue them closed! HaHa!

  8. I got my Jungle Jim Nova body completed ready to have a frame built for it. I took the correct ET mags for the rear from a Polar Lights funny car and sanded off the lip to slide and epoxy into the slot car slicks
  9. Here is a few shots of my latest slot car
  10. I know some guys think I fell off the end of the world but, I have been building mainly bodys only for Drag racing slot cars. I don't know if I will offend anybody but, I wanted to post my new Revell 55 Chevy with weathered paint. I used red primer folowed with flat black. A little sanding and polished it out with rub thru. The two tone white is a Ford color (don't tell anybody) I spent about 2 days on the body. I just added it to a slot car running frame I had in stock. Runs good and I don't have to be picky with the paint! I can still use the Arter Rake on these! If your intested in seeing any other of my slot car bodys check them out at the link Visit My Website enjoy!

  16. Hey Bill, Get ahold of Larry Booth for the trunk pattern. I made a special print for the trunk pattern on his 57 Thunderbird. He may have a extra copy of it. I will check I may have the orginal negitive I made of it. He shot a real trunk mat and I took a 1/16" square and step and repeted it a few hundred times at work.
  17. Lyle you are the MAN or errr MAMA'S BOY you should break out the old one and take a few photos also next to the new one.
  18. I usually charge 100.00 for a regular basic paint job with clear coat. Time is based on what your using. Lacquer? Clear coat? say 2-4 hours prep body and body work, 2 hours sanding final primer, 1 hour base paint, 4 hours decals? 1 hour final clear coat, 2 hours to rub out or are decals on top? Plus 2 six-packs for the decals! your not making great money on a decal job like this unless you charge 200.00 to 250.00 most people will not pay that but, it's alot of work unless you like the subject to do for the fun of it. Need more info on what your using and what order
