  1. I picked up one of Modelhaus's 1950 Cadillacs and WOW nice casting. I am doing a mild Kustom so I shaved off the usual stuff to make it smooth. Doors, emblems, back up lights, smoothed the hood and filled in the slot for the hood slot. The kit comes with the solid axles molded into the resin so I knocked them out and dropped the whole car down @ 1/8". I am using HOK PBC4002 Violette pearl with white base, airbrushed and clear coated with PPG clear. Then I will wet sand the whole car and reapply a real wet thin coat of clear. Here is the color Here you can see my new axle holes it's gonna be looooowwww. Also you can see I painted the wheel edge red. Still need to do the center caps
  2. I spent a full day setting up and building this car. It's the only slot car I have built but, I plan on building another body for this frame. The only mods to the body was I cut the under the inter front fenders and firewall out and epoxed the hood and all bumpers really good. I have yet to run the car so I don't know how it will hold up but, I will now next week. I will take more in progress photos on my next one.
  3. I am hooked! Just finished my bracket drag car. Still need to adjust the wheelie bars at the track. I used Revell 67 Chevelle body with a Parma international edge rtr #452-b turn key car but added the wheels and tires
  4. The rear slicks are from a R/C car parts and the rear rims are R/C car parts cut out and stock rallye wheels behind them to make them deep dish
  5. Sorry it took me so long to post this. Tuesday before NNL East I was looking at my Dart which I had the motor block painted, front grill and rear end panel painted. I finished building the motor (including wiring) that night and was talking to Vince Putt on PSABC and he dared me to finish it for NNL East and I said "what's in it for me" He said "only one BEER at NNL for lunch". So I said "OK" your on. I figured I had about one days worth of work to this point so I was out in the garage painting the body at Midnight with Tamiya spray can (no primer) and all the rest of the main parts so they would be dry in the morning. Wednesday I polished out the minor stuff, foiled the body and built the interior (including a photo etch steering wheel). Thursday finished the frame and had it together Thursday night with one day to spare! This is my second Mopar from Revell and I had trouble with the dash pad on both! It still isn't right. Other that this problem it was a good kit to build. ENJOY! Here is what it looked like when I started and here are a few finished shots: Sorry we live in PA. ALL our cars have undercoating under them it's a "DRIVER" and I painted my hood flat black like the one Tom Kren painted
