  1. My first attempt at heat-stained exhausts. Any feedback?
  2. I've been doing a lot of decaling on this build. For some reason, the Valencia bike has decals that overlap onto adjacent body panels. So I temporarily assembled the body panels and decaled it. After the decals were dry, I ran an X-acto knife along the seam and added decal solvent. Here is the result of the past weeks work.
  3. Some of my "drivers". With a handle of 2whl, I usually ride, not drive. The Duc doesn't get riden very much because it's very low mileage and I want to keep it that way.
  4. And the assembly line continues..........The guys in the spray booth delivered all of my painted bodywork today. So, it's back to the detailing shop to finish all of the small bits prior to assembly.
  5. The engine assembly line has done its thing and they are done except for a few small details..
  6. The Valencia bike calls for MS-9 and MS-10, flourescent orange and yellow. But I can't get that from Tamiya, so I had to use Testor's Racing Orange and some R/C lexan paint from Parma as substitutes.
  7. This build started on another forum where I had posted my Hailwood Ducati. Another member said it inspired him to build a bike and I asked if he would like to do a dual build. We exchanged info and came up with a common motorcycle to build. We decided on the 03 Honda RC211V Valencia machine that Rossi rode. I then decided to open the build up to any other members who wanted to do a Honda RCV bike. With the build opened up, I then decided to do three other bikes since they are all very similar. An assembly line of motorcycles. Pic of the box art and a start to the assembly line.
  8. I wasn't wondering..... cause I fly a Cozy. How did you like the ride???? Picture of me in the Cozy.
  9. I'll be there this year. I have gone for the last two years and it's a great show. The model show is in a space almost as big as the Citrus. And like Art said, it has a 1:1 show outside. You can check out the pics I took last year here. http://www.escalemodels.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=7206 The car show guys have some food vendors that cook awesome BBQ and it's a reasonable price. I would say, don't miss it.
  10. I'm not a hoarder....I'm a plastiholic.. All of these kits are stash into this closet.
  11. Thanks for sharing your pictures. I was there also. Your'e right, It was an awesome venue. I guess we should have done a roll call, so the members on here could have met up. Here is a link to my pics. http://public.fotki.com/2whl/2011-citrus-nats/
  12. I haven't posted here much, yet. But here is a picture taken about 6 months ago with a little fellow who had been abandoned.
  13. A. I did give up after the first yaer. But the recent uprising just reminded me to make a point. sub a. Isn't calling me a fool bashing???? B. My priorities are not out of whack because I don't expect to get the parts. C. I don't miss it. But that doesn't mean it's OK to rip people off.
  14. So what level of outrage would be appropriate when waiting for 3 1/2 years for your order.

    Wacky Racer..

This looks very familiar. Where have I seen it? BTW Is Skid here also?
  16. I like this build. Count me in. I actually raced at Lions in the late 60's before the draft got me. But remember, Garlits unveiled his rear engine car at the Winternats in '72, so not many rear engined rails got to run at Lions.
  17. I'll say real. But whoever put those wheels on it should be shot! Even if it is a kit car.
