  1. Looking great. I need to find one of those kits for the bed and wheels so i can get started on my Syclone pickup I have here. Not a huge fan of layed frame but this looks incredible and accurate. Find a firebird or camaro they had the lt and ls series engines in them nice swap for a s-series.
  2. Looks like the amt kit. Loving the fins. Are we gonna open the doors on it?
  3. Didn't care much for s-10 forum. To much drama there for me. I hang out on v8s10.org mostly even blazinlow as well. Ill start keeping pics up this week as I work on it.
  4. Wow sounds like you have had some interesting stuff happen. I will be installing a 5 point harness in the vert cause the belt didnt lock when I got hit. I used to drive race cars and took some hard hits and that one was the meanest hit of them all. All in all I had $1750 in the blazer not getting anything out of it from insurance company but I get motor trans rear end and brake parts plus some interior goods for another one. Total loss is gonna be about $600 but I got 3 years out of it 2 of which it had a v8. Would anybody follow along to a build of the other truck? Ill keep a thread up on a few forums with it if I got some support.
  5. Yes I do. About 100 more. The car that hit me fared a whole lot better than mine. The motor was relocated 2 inches over to the right as well. ill have another tuesday if everything goes well. Ive got a bucnh of gaming stuff im getting rid of including a ps3 nes atari 2600 and some broken xbox 360's. Gotta round up some money. Other truck is getting its engine saturday if all goes well. Then install all new wiring and interior and a fuel tank swap as well.
  6. Well I found me another blazer today needs a few body panels but shes all there and no rust. Should be going to get it tues next week. Ill stay close in year models also. Semis arnt anything to mess around with by anymeans. I stay as far away as possible.
  7. I was giving the ticket for being at fault. Yes it had a v8 in it and I had built the vehicle to the point it was at now. CJtorino Id almost fly out there to pick it up and the offer is appreciated. The guy that hit me is fine it didn't bust the radiator in his car. Motor should be getting sat down in the vert on sat. Today Ill be building all the patch panels for the firewall and floorboard. Gotta finish installing my wiring harness as well. The blazer has some top damage so If it see the road again it will be a drag suv. I did find a 4 door blazer this morning Im gonna go look at here in a little bit has the same wheels mine had on it. Thanks guys the bench will get busy again soon.
  8. Well Saturday I was heading out to a buddy froms works house I was pulling out and got slammed by a Hyndai Sonnata doing about 50+. I was fortunate they hit me in front of the wheels instead of behind them. It relocated the left frame rail to the right over `8 inches shrunk the cent of the k member over an inch. The motor was moved 2 inches to right as well destrroying all the mounts. I have started disassembling the blazer so I can put my other truck together over the next few weeks. I am fortunate to have another body to transplant the drive train into but gonna take a few weeks as Im recovering from the accident and the ensuing motor crushing I suffered on Monday. I am sore and bruised all over but otherwise ok. I have not missed an hour of work yet either and that is good. Pics of the damage and the truck thats going together. Ill be taking a break from the bench until I get something going to drive.
  9. Thanks Gary. I'm hoping it turns out as nice as it is seemning to be. Somethings gonna go wrong cause everything is going together so smoothly. Thanks guys.
  10. I still have the front of the body i didnt use what to do with it is now the question. Dash work will come on the next off day or maybe even tomorrow night depending on what I work Monday.
  11. Here is pics of the S-series Ive owned over the last few years. Album links for each truck. http://s94.photobucket.com/albums/l108/dbmsrcr1/91%20sonoma/ http://s94.photobucket.com/albums/l108/dbmsrcr1/convertable%20s10/ http://s94.photobucket.com/albums/l108/dbmsrcr1/red%20blazer/
  12. Ive done a few here is one of the ones that was a nightmare to build so it was only fitting.
  13. Did a test fit of the Areies Chevy Hemi with Ross Gibson injection. The air filter sits about halfway into the head area. The motor was for a revell 57 Chevy from the 70s I had going. All the headers were built already from solder. Engine will recieve full wiring and plumbing. Once I get the rear suspension figured out I can open the center of the floor pan up and build the drive shaft and box in the top side. Also got a shot with the seats in place. Also found some inspiration for the paint work.
  14. Got some of the interior work done. Floor pan started as a shelby series one piece narrowed mounted to a flat sheet bottom I had trimmed earlier. Seats will be from the Revell 26 ford t sedan delivery. Motor is still not finalized as I cant decide on what i want to power it. 4.3 v6? 5.0 fi from the 32 speedwagon? TPi 350 from the revell 91 firebird? I also have a aries hemi done up with the tpi 502 induction and front components need to get a good pic of it. Here are a few pics of the interior work as of now.
  15. There is no cure all for glues. Depends on what it was assembled with but superglue I've had luck soaking the part in 91% isopropyl alcohol for a day or so with no ill effects to the plastic. It will also remove paint.
  16. Dupli color for me. Nozzle care keeps it spring right turn it upside down spray til nothing comes out then wipe the nozzle off.
  17. Did some more body work and got my floor pan built. sheet stock was used for the area behind the kick up. Tail lights are my new problem area. Have a set of Enzo Ferarri lenses left over from another project just building some housings for them and mounting them. Got the sides done and the rear fenders reattached. Body work thats left is front valence head lights tailgate and rear window. Im outta ideas for a motor but Was thinking something fuel injected but am open for ideas.
  18. Love the super ram. To bad amt 70 chevelle is the only way to get it.
  19. Well the kit was missing its motor cause I robbed it for another project. I left the hood open so I could add a engine later If I want.
  20. Thanks for the ideas and Im still not concrete on anything on this project. I am looking for a set of prowler wheels and tires as I have 1 rear but the chrome is fubar. I have a set of vette taillights waiting for the rear while the front has them in the hood I think they are calling for a bit more. I have been debating the pie section of the roof but just a little not much at all. As for color im still undecided on it going through the paint bin today and see what we have a pearl orange would look good. Stay tuned more coming tonight hopefully I will have the rear end done tonight.
  21. Thanks guys. Frame work starts when I get off work today and get back to the house May have to run to the hobby shop for some round stock to help with some curves in the floor pan. Dont see it becoming a hearse but you never know around this bench.
  22. Got the quarter panels filled and first coat of bondo sanded. I keep wanting to bring the leading edge of the top down a 1/8th in maybe. Once I get the sides and top body work done I will be moving to the rear end and getting it rounded and molded in. Last pics of the day 4 am gets here quick.
