  1. Shiny is up next, Jim. LOL.
  2. Thanks for keeping the ideas rolling, my friend. More progress soon.
  3. Harry, I agree with you, but we have to remember that COLLEGE (in part thanks to sports) has been packaged and sold now as the next logical commercial step for young people to take and continue to keep spending money. It's a MUST-DO for FOUR YEARS. I was at the University of Texas at Austin several years ago and I was amazed at how the University had turned their student life center into a shopping center. College is NOT for EVERYONE, but it has become big business for some schools. The Ivy League Colleges will always be there for the upper crust, but for some State and private schools, EDUCATION has become a big business. If you get the kids in for four years you have more than a captive market. You have power over them. You can sell them stuff. Then all these FOR-PROFIT schools have sprung up everywhere selling themselves as nothing more than job placement agencies. As politicians sell more industries off to other parts of the world, the professional job pool has dried up. I see very bad times ahead for the new generations with our without college degrees. But while they--the youngsters--are not looking because they are having a great time in College, most of their future jobs are vanishing. Thus their label: THE BOOMERANG GENERATION. They go away and come back.
  4. Thank you, that's a great way to have fun with photographs.
  5. Thanks, maties . . . here's a little update and some basic information. WATCH THE VIDEO
  6. Now we are talking, wow, lots of inspiration already.
  7. Nice model, and the engine is wonderful.
  8. Very cool.
  9. Bill, I believe they do, and they have one of the world's best telescope at Kitt Peak.
  10. Mad skills. I love this thing. It's art in raw metal. I would be hesitant to want to paint it. I would leave it as is to showcase the craftsmanship. Absolutely amazing.
  11. I also mixed my own batch of acrylic turquoise with a few drops of Vallejo satin finish . . . If all goes well I will be painting tomorrow. Stay tuned in.
  12. Well, I managed to brave it this morning and shoot the primer. Here are the results so far . . .
  13. Ah, a review, Chuck. Better start taking those memory pills already.
  14. This is going to be a good one. Looking forward to it.
  15. Love it, very cool. Nice colors too.
  16. Excellent collection. Thank you for sharing.
  17. Samuel, those are sweet. I love the blue one. I keep getting great inspiration from the pictures you are all posting. Also, I got most of the sub-assemblies in primer, mainly the chassis, the body, engine, and a lot of the interior components. Very hot and humid down here but I braved it this morning and didn't have the kinds of problem shooting primer I thought I would have. I will have a round of progress pics up soon. Stay tuned in, and again, thanks for the support.
  18. This is very close to what I am after:
  19. Bill, I've always loved the way you fog and fade the paint on your chassis. Very cool look.
  20. Love the Willys. Nice results with that color. It's a wonderful model.
  21. It's been very humid here so I've been hesitant to shoot the primer. The sun is out today, and I hope to get some on there. Also, I am still adding details to the chassis. Smoothing the body, etc . . .
  22. Nice work Nick and Charlie, these are going to be fine models when finished.
  23. Here are a couple of mine I really like: And another:
