  1. The fine work and detailing continues.
  2. Beautiful dioramas, and thank you for the links, Mr. Doan.
  3. TJ, that is looking fabulous. More, keep it going, please.
  4. I like it low to the ground, and I love the name you've given it. Looking forward to more.
  5. Thanks, everyone. This process is always what I would call losing my mind to the rust. Now the fun part begins of weathering and detailing it further and then building the thing. I would like to apply some graphics, and I am very tempted to put some flame decals on this one, but I have to see how it looks by testing it on one panel. Stay tuned in for more, and again, thank you for the generosity of spirit.
  6. Yes, I think it can be turned into a song.
  7. Looks like you have a table full of fine models. Thanks for the link to more of the eye candy.
  8. Just a couple more: I love the swooped back of this one: If you look closely you can see some where some of the paint has naturally flecked off . . . Stay tuned in for more.
  9. And the body with the paint:
  10. Here's a detail shot of where the chassis is at: A rolling chassis:
  11. A little stippling goes a long ways . . . Here's where I'm at with the interior (gee, wasn't I the one who said I would start with the engine?)
  12. You can go crazy using this many paints with the airbrush, although it's not so bad since most clean up with water and all window cleaning fluid . . . But the results, I think, are really spectacular. I don't care how many times I do this, it always feels like I am going off a cliff each and every time. Just trying to create some nice contrast between the parts . . . This is all straight out of the paint booth and the kitchen sink where I wash off the salt . . . with a soft bristle brush. I still have to apply washes and you know some of EYEGORE's gunk, funk, and junk. We are just starting to have some fun.
  13. All right, folks, some slow progress tonight. Yes, these are all the paints I am using so far on this build . . .
  14. Can't wait. Bring it on.
  15. This thing is out of this world. Man, you sure are on a great roll here, Ira. The Styrene Muses are visiting you on a regular basis. What are you feeding them?
  16. I really like what you are planning with this one.
  17. Thanks, Jim and Lorenzo. I appreciate the input and the comments. Stay tuned in for more progress.
  18. Thanks, Jim, the wheels came through nice because of the was I applied. I like the look too. Of course, I am still working on getting the chassis and the body right. Stay tuned in, there should be some progress pictures soon.
  19. Samuel, thanks. You'll see in the next round of pictures why I don't leave well enough alone. LOL! Thanks for the comments.
  20. I do that too, but with the spares, I put them in plastic bins like the ones above. Very nice.
  21. Here's a video UPDATE if you want to watch it.
  22. Can't wait to see some paint on it.
  23. I agree with Skip and Danno who has obviously been in his room too long!
  24. All of this discussion is already making me long for THANKSGIVING, which is my favorite holiday because it brings everyone together again.
  25. All right, progress is being made. We now have the rust coat on the build and the wheels and tires are getting done. The darkening you see on the edges and panel lines is pre-shading done with the airbrush . . . Stay tuned in for more.
