  1. That's a beauty of a model. Wow. Great job.
  2. Thanks for the support, Lorenzo. Getting the rolling chassis assembled and ready for primer. Stay tuned in.
  3. I got the zip lock tip form Donn Yost's videos. He keeps all his painted parts in Ziplock baggies, and it helps keep everything organized, plus they are pretty cheap.
  4. Cool looking model so far. Nice hinges.
  5. It would be super cool if someone would cast that chopped cab in resin, then we can all build one of these.
  6. Thanks for reminding me it's coming out. I just placed in order through Model Round Up. Very exciting.
  7. It sounds like they can fend for themselves pretty well. My big fear is that this new generation (they call them boomerangs) might have a heck of a time landing good paying jobs. Forget good paying job, try jobs. Just jobs.
  8. Regardless of how you feel one way or the other, you'd have to admit that this one looks pretty cool. I thought of you, Mr. Most, when I saw this one: I know, it's not an all out rat, and some might say this is more of a hot rod, but the principles behind most rat rods (the chopping, the by-the-seat-of-your-pants-and-budget engineering, etc) is what fuels my imagination when I see something like this.
  9. Nick, that Crown Victoria looks like it is ready for paint, looks very smooth.
  10. Thank havens for plastic bins and containers and drawers, right?
  11. Great combination. I love the teardrop trailer. Nice duo, buddy.
  12. "Please don't mistake me for roadkill, I've been through enough . . . if you see me thumbing down a ride, don't assume I've been down this road before . . . My life feels like 30 Days in the Hole, you know I ain't the one, so don't mistake me for roadkill, this is what love's done to me . . . Pat, you've got even EYEGORE humming a tune now.
  13. Skip, thanks for the link.
  14. Wayne, I think that's the right attitude. Besides, they are in the world now, hopefully doing all the good work you taught them how to do.
  15. Those are two excellent schools. Congratulations.
  16. Wonderful, and the color just POPS!
  17. Nice tribute to a great kit!
  18. I would love to see more of her models.
  19. My treasure trove of really neat parts are in a container which I keep in an undisclosed location. LOL. The rest are in bins, etc . . . I have drawers for the kits I have built more than six times or so: 41 Willys, 32 & 34 Fords, 55 Chevy Belaire, and 50 Chevy Pick up, etc . . .
  20. Roger, that's a sweet model. I remember it, and I love the paint, and I do have plenty of Aztec gold here. Ah, temptations, temptations.
  21. Wow, great response. As you all know, it's not the best of feelings to return to an empty house, and I am more than thankful to have my lovely wife to accompany me during these next few lonely weeks. I can't even walk into the kids' room without choking up. The good news is that now more than ever I know where my place is in the house: AT THE WORKBENCH IN THE GARAGE. Lab-RAT-ory HERE I COME WITH A VENGEANCE!
  22. I just returned to find MCM #170, and I am totally wowed not only by it's gerth, but by the variety of great articles. Congrats to Yost, Cruz, Hutchings, Moyer, Most, Leisure, et al . . . including Harry P. who I got the honor of putting it all together. I'm hope I am not the only one who believes the magazine has really been sparking up some great stuff this last year or so. Keep it going, gents. If the eye candy quotient of the NNL WEST 2012 coverage is any indication, the models coming out to the shows all over the country proves that the hobby is well and thriving, and more than a few builders have raised the limbo stick by leaps and bounds. A hearty CONGRATULATIONS!
  23. LOL, that's funny. I like it.
