  1. LOL, how many ex-wives do you have? I am still working on my first! Seriously, folks, coming from so many of you, it means a lot to me. The work shared by so many on this forum just keeps the old Doctor CRANKED UP! THANK YOU.
  2. Thank you, Terry. Yes, I will blame YOU, Jim, and Donn for this new madness. I hope it lasts!
  3. Well, it does sound like you might have to find an alternative. Can you scratch-build it?
  4. So very true, Mr. Cruz. Once you get to use it and get consistent results, it'd be hard to return to the rattle cans.
  5. Here are a few more:
  6. All right, my friends, just when you thought you were seeing double, right? LOL. I finished them both and I am pretty happy with myself that I got to finished these two left over from a whole bunch of projects from last year. So here we go, another round of eye candy. Watch out the gloss don't seal your mouth shut!
  7. Terry, now I always remove the little catch lip on those. They are just standing up because I have to push them down in place. Stay tuned in for more pictures.
  8. Well, what can I say, it's Doctor Cranky, you know, the Chief Crankyhead of this: and of this: http://doctorcrankyslabratory.blogspot.com/ Where daily styrene gets eaten by the pound!
  9. Tell you what though, as much as I like to support the LHS, lately I've been buying some kits (not at my local hobby shop) from Model Round Up, and I tell you they are fabulous when it comes to shipping and delivering the good in perfect condition. They go out of their way to package those models well. And no, they are not paying me to say that.
  10. Thanks, my friends. I appreciate the kind words. I have another in the works and my plan is to keep building a few more.
  11. Welcome back, and man you've hit the ground running. Those pipes look great. The work on the rims is amazing. Keep it going.
  12. Put a panty hose on the vacuum cleaner and see it you can pit up that way. I hate it when that happens.
  13. Rob, oh no, I like this new avatar.
  14. Rob, building cleanly and well is part of your style. I think it fits.
  15. And the last for the road: I will never get tired of building these Revell 41 Willyses kits. I just love them. I think this is my 12th built in the last several years, not to mention all the other builds this kit has given parts to . . .
  16. Just a few more:
  17. BIGGEST STYRENE ADDICT, driven by yours truly: Doctor Cranky and LITTLE CRANKYHEAD, driven by EYEGORE. Someone's gonna win! When the Gloss hits Jim's eye like a big piece of shine, that's Amore! I'm pretty sure the Dean Martin version goes like that! Ah, this one I though I would never finish, it sat here for way too long and finally thanks to Jim and Donn and all you other GLOSSHEADS, I got enough inspiration to finish it up. Here are some of the results. I still have two pieces to put on this thing, but it's pretty much done. Enjoy:
  18. Heavens, you guys are taking off with this topic. I love it. Yes, you should be able to pick out those black beauties from any line up, Luke. And Ken, I love this model.
  19. Mark, that's some great progress. You guys got me salivatin' over doing one of these. And although I want to build a 62 Impala, I think I found my subject for this build. It's on its way and I can't wait to get it so I can start. Should be here by the weekend.
  20. Hamilton, this build is rising to be one of your very best. And the clock is ticking to the NNL East, but Ken Hamilton never breaks into a sweat.
  21. William, it's a beautiful, stand out model. Thank you, and congratulations.
  22. Amazing that finish was cleared with FUTURE. Beautiful.
  23. Absolutely perfect, James. I love it. The details throughout really make it stand out, and the weathering is subtle and very well done. Congrats.
  24. Well, buddy, it looks like you've still got it, your touch. Nice model. I hope your styrene addiction continues. It's a great hobby, and it's one that has saved me time and again. Thank you for sharing your work with us.
  25. Also, Rob, thanks for posting that Toyota reference picture. I often wonder how long after a revolution begins do people start modifying vehicles into road warrior types.
