  1. Rob, I almost didn't recognize you, you changed your avatar! You do bring up a great point, and that is to have fun with the build, but also be mindful of how the vehicle actually works within the confines of the story you are trying to tell. Most of these weapons used on these vehicles would probably damage the vehicle after the first or 2nd blast, but we would all agree the WEAPONS and other elements are what make these vehicles stand out.
  2. Okay, so you say you build original, one-of-a-kind models, so how do you do it? What are the elements of your style? The stuff that makes someone pick your models out of a line up. I think of the late great Ricky Couch and how every model he built had that COUCH feel and look to it. Don't be shy, and don't hold back. And more importantly, what do think the process is for getting there? Is it paint job? Engines? Over all effect? Have fun. Thank you.
  3. I keep coming back to pour over this one. I am really delighted by how well it all came together and into a beautiful model. Really, congrats on a fine job.
  4. Tom, this happens to me all the time, and when I finally get up from the bench, my knees hurt and my lower back. I think you bring up a great point, and that is to stop and avoid those long build stretches without at least taking a little break to stretch out.
  5. Looking forward to the continuation of it.
  6. Making good progress . . . waiting for more treats on that engine.
  7. The results are looking good already!
  8. Shawn, it's a good question, and it's why it's always a good idea to provide a hatch of some sort or a quick-getaway panel somewhere . . . I think many builders have them on their builds.
  9. One word: BEAUTIFUL!

Great execution and the weathering is spot on, Ron. Nice addition to your collection.
  11. Dirk, I like this, I am looking forward to the tribute build. Keep it going.
  12. I love it, Rob. Those look like the same panels put on the Discovery or something . . . like modern day zimmerit. Very interesting. Keep it going.
  13. Eelco, that bike can take you to the end of the world and back several times. Those things are built for the Apocalypse!
  14. Thanks for the progress pictures, Neal. I really like it.
  15. Another good one, Ira. You are a regular Dr. Frankenshtein! Can't wait to see more.

  21. LOL, so far I'm enjoying it, but then the tension gets to my nerves, Mike, which is why I ended switching over to the rusty stuff. But don't worry, I've got plenty of shiny lined up to last me for a good long time.
  22. Harry, it's great to hear you getting excited about building this model. Hope you line up all your ducks in a row and start shootin' soon.
  23. Wow, you got my attention with those huge tires.
  24. It looks like you've got all the right ref. pics to keep you fired up about getting this one done.
