  1. Cool, J, when you can . . . it looks like a great project.
  2. <p>Sorry, not a thread about how fast you can build models! This is a thread about "speed" setting subject matter of all sorts. In hopes that those of us who are crazy about Speed Record Setting at Bonneville or the Salt Flats, can post and share inspiration. Roger Yu's yellow coupe Salt Flat's racer really got me thinking about this type of subject matter and how wonderful it is in both real life and in scale. The other vehicle that really gets me cracked up is Hollywood Jim's amazing Merc:
  3. Glenn, delighted you liked it. There are some stunning dioramas out there, and quite a few military models are mixing civilian vehicles and military equipment with great effects.
  4. Wow, it's exciting to hear you got one in progress, J. Can't wait and those pictures you posted are very good reference pictures. I wonder that that wired up padding on the driver's seat is?
  5. Autographs go up in value when they can be authenticated.
  6. Tracy, thanks for the extra pictures. I would still like to see a close up of that garage. It looks to me like you have training in architecture and building.
  7. Keep the great work coming folks. Those of you who have recently joined, WELCOME TO THE TZH SQUAD. Now, start having some fun!
  8. Chris, I love the idea, and you can find lots of those elements in the Doll House supply websites. You should be able to get period corrects furniture and fixtures, etc . . . Boy, I'd love to see that happen. Hope to have all my current projects off the bench by the time this bus rolls around.
  9. Dominik, thanks for all the links. I know there are lots of builder out there ready with their saws, ready to perform some surgeries on this one. I am looking forward to lots of great conversions too.
  10. Well, my friend, I got the bug real bad so I am working on another one of these Cobras. I should have some pictures up soon. Stay tuned in, and thank you for the comments. I appreciate them.
  11. Donn, you don't look a day over 49! I guess all that gloss has helped preserve ya!
  12. I like that Nova, and also lots of you are masters of car roof top photographs. I gotta try a couple of those.
  13. Roger, this is very exciting. I hope you will post the progress pictures and keep us well fed with eye candy. Looking forward to it. Please record all the cuts and chops and mods, thank you.

  15. This is pure eye candy, all right. It looks wonderful. I love the rust. You must have picked up some great tips from those military builders out there. Thanks for sharing. Keep it going.
  16. Also, check out Harry's thread: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=51802
  17. I remember I paid less than 300 for it, but now it's over 300: http://www.micromark.com/15-inch-x-20-inch-standard-spray-paint-booth,8034.html Daryl, I really like yours. It's got lots of room for larger builds. Nice going.
  18. Shawn, no stress. Get back to it when you can. You have plenty of time left.
  19. Jim, there's no stress, so when you finish, just post here. So we can enjoy your work. Hope your dog is fine.
  20. Well, I hope I will get my hands on at least a couple. I know I will build one of these crazy ideas keep popping into my head.
  21. Great going, Cole. You'll be all set and back on track with the styrene shortly.
  22. Welcome to the forum, Ryan. I use a old model that I got from Micro Mark. It's a bit small, but it works.
  23. Like most things, routine is important, practice is important. Experimentation is important. I hold a steady job but when I can't sleep (which is quite often) I am working through the night at the bench. You'd be amazed how much building you'd do if you tried your best to put an hour in every night. It's almost a religious experience for me. I know many of us here worship at the Church of Styrene.
