  1. Welcome to the forum. Yes, can you give us a better idea of what you are doing?
  2. Here's another take on the effect done with rattle cans:
  3. I like the both, keep up the wonderful drawing.
  4. I whole heartedly agree with Dave Zinn's sentiment on the book. I still get lots of enjoyment (and ideas) out of it. I will always treasure my copy and it's signed for pete's sake! For those of us who know Ken and stay up to date with his Fotki archives, he's been working on The Arcade diorama for a couple of years now and he is thinking of unveiling it at this next NNL East, which is yet another great reason to start planning to attend.
  5. Rob, don't stress about it. I'm sure we'll get to see your models in better light soon. Not a problem, chap. Rodney, this SUV has all the right looks, keep it going. Remember also that well placed weld seams can go a long ways to signify great added parts, etc . . . looks like you are having a blast. Wayne, all those metalizer colors are excellent, and yes, they do add up quickly . . . can't wait to see what you are cooking!
  6. The weathering is spot on. Great job. I like it.
  7. Beautiful job!
  8. Chris, that looks like the perfect foundation for a Post-Apocalypse vehicle. Hint. Hint.
  9. Nice, toothy smile. Love it. I ruined one of these last year. I have to re do it. It's a great body and grill.
  10. I agree with Tim, I use Toshiba, always have gotten great deals and mine works like a charm. Of course, having said that I am thinking of switching to a Mac in the coming years.
  11. I have a few of his bodies here and I keep them around just to salivate and get ideas . . . the product is clean and straight and builds up nice. I've never had any major complaints.
  12. Gregg's idea works. I use sushi shop chop sticks with 3M double sided tape or a piece of cardboard with regular wide strips of tape and I glue several rows of small parts and panels to it. And there you go, you are good to start painting. Welcome to the forum and I hope you enjoy all the sights and share your eye candy with us. Best, Doctor Cranky
  13. Call me old fashioned, but they haven't done anything worthwhile since the Gremlin! LOL! Just kidding. The last Chevy I've liked was the CHEVY SSR, that little roadster truck, you know the one.
  14. No problem, Rob, take your time. Play with your vehicles and their pictures . . . enjoy the process. Erik, I really like that backdrop. i think it is perfect for some great photos . . . keep up the eye candy.
  15. Richard, it's as easy as putting the ulr between: open bracket, type img, close the bracket, insert the ulr, open bracket, type /img, close the bracket Looking forward to it.
  16. One of the better replicas I've seen done yet. Nice job.
  17. I'm running late on the parts gathering because my model hasn't arrived yet . . . that's my story and I am sticking to it:
  18. The show what an amazing transformation you put this model through. Thank you.
  19. That's the spirit, Rob . . . and the idea is for the rest of us to really get to enjoy your hard work in the best possible way. Also, for EVERYONE in the caravan, Sgt. EYEGORE is saying this: It is never too late to start dreaming up the kind of terrain (simple base work) environment to showcase your build when it is finished. Although the base is NOT a requirement of this CB, it is highly important that YOU KNOW and REALIZE how easy it is to build a mini scene for your model . . . In case you need a boost of inspiration, here's a favorite how-to vid:
  20. Wonderful. I like the color. Thank you for sharing it.
  21. Keep up the good work, and keep sharing . . .
  22. Oh, I'm loving that engine weathering. NICE!
