  1. Classy and beautiful. Incredible results, and yes tedious but the eye candy factor just rose by 500%. Can't wait to see it done.
  2. Gee, they don't build them like they used to anymore!
  3. I agree, the engine details are very nice. Congrats.
  4. All this proves you are having a blast building this one. Great work, and truly amazing scratch-building. I hope you are considering building a custom base/scene for this one.
  5. Marty, how far from Birmingham are you? I ask because that's the hub for some wonderful model building and club. You might want to contact Tommy May out there and he'll give you all the information you need.
  6. Looking good, Tonio. Great body work.
  7. Welcome to the forum, and you come bringing us plenty of eye candy. There seems to be a control board in front center and i wonder what features you have that work like the lift, or lights? Or am I seeing things? Wonderful work with lots to look at.
  8. Yes, I like the model, and I also love the backdrop you use in the photos. Nice combination of elements, great photos.
  9. Harry, you can skin this cat in several ways. If you want brick style cobbles, you can cut them out of cork and then glue them down and apply your plaster. If you want them round, it's easier than that. Get a back of split peas. Yes, you heard right. Split peas. And glue them down and then add your plaster . . . It sounds like you are going to be a in for a bit of fun. If you are thinking of some other irregular shape, then you can cut the pieces out of matt board, glue them down, and flow the plaster in . . . Show us your results.
  10. Rob, stop kidding yourself, at the pace you are going, you will probably add about four vehicles to the CARAVAN, and that's wonderful. Also, I like the fact that many of you fellas are thinking of using figures and more importantly EYEGORE's style GIZMOLOGY!
  11. Yes, it's kind of addictive, and there's nothing wrong with getting kits you see someone else doing. I think it's a normal reaction where your imagination kicks in and you want to try your hand at it. Some kits are better the others, and that's a lesson we all learn along the way, so you eventually accumulate lots of kits and then you end up culling the batch down. It's an ebb and flow type of thing.
  12. A lot less than last year but still a few more than I should really be buying!
  13. The weathering is looking good. Nice chipping!
  14. Nice work, keep it going.
