  1. I say dehydrator too, not oven. No, no, no oven. Well, you get the point.
  2. You, Sir, are clearly having a blast building this one!
  3. Remember to take lots of pictures. Feed us eye candy, please!
  4. John, this model deserves a magazine spread! Wow! Not that I don't love these pictures, but please keep an eye out for a more futuristic style background to do some photo op.
  5. Oh my, Harry, you don't think there's plenty of eye candy at a swap meet? DOCTOR CRANKY LOVES, LOVES, LOVES swap meets.
  6. I also have to add to this thread that just as important as how you got hooked is HOW YOU HELP STAY HOOKED!!! Case in point, a few years ago I started to NOT feel the mood until I saw this model done by our very own Jairus Watson and I loved the model so much, he was kind enough to agree to part with it and now it's part of my ever-growing collection of models built by others that mean the world to me and help me stay fired up about building:
  7. Chuck is right, and I have to say I love that kit. I've built a few and I've always been happy with the results. Plus, if you like to paint models over a weekend, this one has few parts and it builds up perfectly fine.
  8. Remember to bring the digital cameras and shoot lots of eye candy! Then share it with the rest of us who can't be there. Thank you.
  9. EYE-POPPING, JAW-DROPPING EYE-CANDY! Thank YOU!
  10. Little details like these can make a model really stand out, even if you just place them around the model without having to build a diorama.
  11. Pretty cool indeed.
  12. That looks real good.
  13. Hope you keep making progress on this one.
  14. I think one of the first models I built was a Revell Stukka, and then a few cars including a 1940 Ford Coupe, and I was hooked. Built until I was 18 or so, then life took over. I returned to the hobby in my late 30s and have been doing it ever since. It's a fun, great hobby, and it's good for the NERVES! Then Doctor Cranky & EYEGORE showed up, opened the Lab-RAT-ory a few years ago and nothing's been the same since!
  15. Man, I love flake. COASTAIRBRUSH.com just released a bunch of different BIG DADDY ROTH FLAKE rattle cans. I've got a couple I'm dying to try!
  16. Nice and classy, Janne, it's going to be another wonderful model from your bench.
  17. Silken, that's looking nice and smooth. Keep it going during your free time!
  18. Some beautiful models, buddy. Thanks for sharing. I love the shot-against-nature photos!
  19. WOW, nice turbine work. Keep it going. This thing is going to fly high!
  20. Bravo, Maestro! What a great model. I like the display too. Threads like this one are the mainstay of eye-candy production on this forum. I am looking forward to another one of your builds in progress!
  21. Thanks, Tom. Chuck, when I remove mine, I'm getting rid of the little hornet tip too on that trim. LOL! BTW, it's looking good, keep it going.
  22. Thanks for your input, Mike. I agree with you that lowrider culture has been around for a long time. I am looking forward to the day when I can see Tonio's models in person.
