  1. That picture is just crying out to be turned into a diorama.
  2. Don't give up Jim, you want to be there when the Doctor makes his first live televised appearance!
  3. Jim, it's free and painless! Well, I hope it's painless.
  4. I feel your pain, buddy. Eventually it will get out everywhere, the technology that is.
  5. Thank you, thank you all. I am in the process of gathering some equipment and materials to get going, hopefully sometime early this coming week.
  6. Oh man, this looks classy throughout. Excellent. Let there be more, please!
  7. Cool. Oh man "dialup" . . . WOW, that's like 8 Track technology. Thanks, Chuck . . . I am hoping it will be a fun and instructive place.
  8. THE MORE SUBSCRIBERS THE MORE FUN IT'S GOING TO BE!
  9. I use a panel scriber from Micro Mark and a few layers of tape . . .
  10. Wow, I like this one. Great picture.
  11. Greetings folks: Yours Truly, Doctor Cranky, here to invite all of you to subscribe to Doctor Cranky's LAB-RAT-ORY YOUTUBE Channel. http://www.youtube.com/user/damncranky666?feature=mhum As soon as the equipment arrives, I will start making videos. I want to thank Harry P. for his help and great graphics. The channel will deal with all things model-building and hobby related, from airbrushing to zebras on rat rods! Stay tuned in for more, friends, and please subscribe. I hope to bring you a great deal of fun in 2011. Cheers, D. Cranky
  12. BEAUTIFUL, HARRY! That's great news.
  13. Jim, YES, please do a how-to. I think it would be great!!!
  14. Interesting question. I bypass having to dust my models by simply keeping each one (at least those I really love and am most proud of) in plexiglass display cases, you know the kind you can get for around 5-9 dollars. I have models that are almost 10-15 years old and they look as new as the day I finished them.
  15. Wow, those suicided doors are great. Keep this one going please.
  16. And here are a whole bunch of great how-tos with Craig, Mike and others" http://www.iwata-medea.com/index.php/artool/articles/
  17. Here's Mike at work on one of Foose's rides . . . I know it's in another language, but you can see him at work. Also, Mike's videos are great and you can get them here: www.killerpaint.com
  18. Here's the link for Ed Hubbs: http://www.youtube.com/user/edhubbs
  19. Joshua, he's a good resource for tips, tricks, and techniques. You also want to check out, Mike Levallee, Craig Fraser, and Ed Hubbs. Your learning curve will increase with more views and with more practice. That's what happened to me. Once you get over the fear of the airbrush, you will go far.
  20. Hey Jody, thanks for adding your voice to the discussion. You are right about the economy of model building.
  21. Shoot, it's sounding like it's just better to get a ready-made, safety regulated set up . . . AVOID ALL RISKS.
  22. Wow, nice clean model. The open doors are the perfect touch, and that engine bay is fabulous. Congrats.
  23. Ian just keep safety in mind. These kinds of DIY setups are best when you are not using flammable paints and reducers. I think they'd be fine for acrylics and water-based paints.
  24. Here's a great resource: http://www.airbrushoutlet.com/spraybooths.html
